Is there any other fuel filter I can get for my 87 600f1 like one from an autozone or something cheap? Since the fuel filter at the motorcycle store is $16! Or is that average? I have no idea.

Here are the Napa fuel filters that I run ($5.00). I have used them for years not only in my motercycle, but we use them at work all the time, and we service about 24 trucks, blades, dozers, rollers, etc.
