ok, so i asked this in general tech and got no response in 24 hours, so im gonna ask here.....

I am about to order a new set of rubber for my ol lady....looking at getting the Pirelli Sport Demons.

I am looking at getting 110/70-17 and 130/70-17, any reason you can think of not to get a 70 profile instead of the stock 80(they dont carry one of them in 80)?  They also have the rear in a 140, but kind of wanted to stay with the stock sizes, not 100% yet.  I really wanted to see if anyone had used the Sport Demons and to heed advice on the profile.  thanks!

I have had them for about a month now, 110/70 and 150/70...once they warm up which is pretty quick they stick very well. they look awesome on the bike. they handling is very quick and responsive now with the lower profile, im actually thinking about getting the steering stabilizer for when i ride on the freeways. i like them though and will probably get them again unless i find a even better looking tread pattern :)

I'm running a 140/80 rear with no issues.

yeah, i know up to 150 there would really be no issues.  was more or less the profile dropping 10% is what i wanted to make sure there wasnt gonna be any effects i didnt account for.  probably end up getting the 140 or 150 now since motorcycle-superstore has the 130 on backorder now.

I bought these and love 'em.  The back is a 150/60.  The turn in is a little slow, but I've gotten used to it and the grip is phenomenal.  It also makes the bike a little shorter, so I have to be careful with the sidestand, but otherwise they're awesome.

if they had the rear in a 70 profile i might consider it given the price difference.  thanks for the link.

NP.  The other thing about these tires is that they heat up pretty quickly, and are really soft, so I doubt that they will last very long.  But at $120 a pair, I don't really mind.
