hi, everybody, i'm new to the forum, getting my first bike, it's an 05 600rr black/tribal...just wanted to know if this was good deal.....at first 7199!!! sounded awesome, but then he added in all this stuff and freight and tax, etc,etc....and it came out to 8811.94 otd!

that's almost 2k for what?

here's the breakdown what he wrote for me

7199 <--price of bike,
598
325
55.40

that comes to 8177.40 but then he adds this

8177.40
531.54
103

that comes out to the total of 8811.94...now that sounds like a lot of bullshit,...what am i paying almost 2 thousand dollars extra for, did anyone else pay this much for tax and all the other stuff, btw, i don't know what all the pricing is for, i should've asked but ya know how it is when your at the dealership and they're talking and whatnot...etc..

help me out please, thanks

I paid 9000 OTD. If I remember correctly I talked the dealer down on the retail price from $8999 to $8000. Then I talked them into cutting in half the "freight and handeling" they claimed they have to charge which ended up being $298.51. After that there was $99 for "title work" and $10.50 for my temp tag and finally $600.99 for tax.

I keep hearing about people buying 05 600RR from a dealer in Tennessee for $7399 OTD. If you are in a state like Ohio expect to pay the additional cost of sales tax based on what county you live it. Where I live that would be another $555. That is still just over $1000 less then I paid. I am going to check out that dealer when I buy my 1000RR next year. If they are true to there word then I will enjoy the 20 hour drive round trip to pick it up. Their web is below.

WOW, looks like they've even gone further down in price. They now have the 600RR listed at $6983. I think that is because Honda is offering $500 in dealer bucks or what ever they call it. For me that would be almost a $1500 savings. I hope some of the guys who have bought there bikes from Southern Honda speak up.

My '05 was $7300. I got the warranty and after tax and all that crap I was out the door for right at $8000. There were a lot of dealer incentives when i got mine. They took $300 of the bike and no other dealer around was doing that.

The bike out the door would have been 8100 for me, but I threw in the hpp for four more years and with the other miscellaneous charges it came to about 8600.00. I live in jersey but bought in pa cause jersey would have been 9300.00 out the door.

I just bought my bike from Southern Honda about a month ago. The bike was $7233 out the door. that included the $200 honda bonus bucks. They really are a no sh*t place. I payed no additional fees except for a 20 something dollar business fee or some crap. anyway, GA has yet to charge me my sales tax, but Ill keep my fingers crossed. They do a lot of business so dont expect them to bend over backwards for you on anything. You have to know what you want, call them, put it on hold and go pick it up. no shipping. But I would definitely buy again from them.
