Help

  I have commuted my ten minutes to campus everyday and am tired of having to park in BFE so I am getting a bike to save a hour a day of waiting for the bus and then goin to my commuter lot. I was talking to friends and they say that a CBR is a hard bike to learn on... I have ridden dirt bikes and raced them before, I used to own three of them but have not ridden in 3-4 years. I was wondering if you guys have any tips or advice.
