Well my first poll!!!
As I patiently wait for my parts to come in, I'm left thinking of names for my new project...
So I've come up witha few - please, don't refrain! If ya think it's dumb, tell me! If you've got a suggestion, tell me!
I'm thinking whatever is voted on in 2 weeks will be the new name of the bike I'm making (since Honda doesn't sell one in the US). I'd like to see if Nick (D2graffix - dude I can never rembmer your screen name, lol) can me me some OEM-stlye decals with the new product name... maybe?
Anyway, here will be the basic specs when it's all said and done... this will be the bike for the name.
2002 XR400R
Stage 2 racing cam
supermoto fenders
So that's it - whaddya got? I'm thinking I'm going to stay with my trusted black color, but with red accents. Don't know if that helps...

Hahaha, bastard. Lol, I liked the edit that followed more, lol.
Yeah I'm kinda diggin' that name too, it was the second one I thought of. I think it should have the "CB" in it since it's going to have the street tires... I dunno...
Yer a witty bastard aren't ya!
(I'm going to PM you with some, hopefully for you, good news!

Yeah, I'd go with the XR400L but "RR" is the only one up there. I say this because the street legal 650 is a XR650L and the off-road one is XR650R. That bike is exactlly what I'd love to have for an enduro. 650's are just huge and torquey and my 250 is a joke kinda, so th XR400L is something that I wish Honda would have marketed

i like the XR400RR...but what about something like....
SuperXRR or SuperX....i am just thinking because it will be sort of ambiguous as well as the fact that i can thinking up about a thousand cool ways to do a logo with that name

well i WOULD have voted for SuperXRR but it wasn't there when i voted...some insanely creative person suggested it after i voted...ugh...
lol..i'll chop what i think it would look like...or some variation thereof....in my eyes, the super would be smaller than the XRR...i'll see if i can whip a quick idea up...nothing good...lol....like "superXXR"...

Kid, I can understand about the Super part. But thats what your bike is going to be. A supermoto bike. Maybe people in passing cars will be like, "HAHAHA! It says Super!". But us bikers will know. And isnt that what matters??

Sorry Kid for f_cking up your poll, but Chauncy is only behind by one vote. Your daddy knows some things about stuff...like names...and stuff...and some other things, too.

So it's a soon-to-be streetbike? What kinda tires? If you're going for road-legal, I would call it something that rhymes with other Honda models. Northern is right, you should name it something OEM-ish but still unique...unless you have the luxury of connection within the DMV or other notable authority. Wonder if there are aftermarket headlight units that bolt on...that, and the fender will really change the look in the right direction. Tires?
So yeah, my vote is for a new name: CXR400L or in other words, 'City-XmotoRacer 400L' where L indicates this model comes with suspension set up for concrete--cause, you know, the CXR400R is the version with softer springs for dirt, or whatever lol I totally just made up two imaginary bikes LOL

I forgot - tires...
I DON"T WANT TO HEAR SHIT ABOUT IT!!! The guy on the phone (

) said they were better than the Pirellis and those were my only two options for my current wheel size. I hate Pirellis.
Okay, fine - you want to know the name of the tires? Friggin' AVON, alright. Yes, AVON. I don't want to talk about tires no more...

Avon - damned good tyres, especially in the wet. As good as Pirellis, IMHO.
British tyres, and you know how much rain THEY get !

Really? I have to be honest, I've never heard much about them before. Here in the states, "Avon" is the name of a very well-known company that sells cheap perfumes, etc. and have made a big business in the exploiting of bored housewives since the late 50's.
Anyway, yeah the name, "Avon," as I've always known it, has implied cheapness, lol. Now I obviously know that's not necessarily the case with these but you can see my train of thought, lol.
