Is it possible to make any adjustments to the factory HESD on an '06 1000RR? I'm curious because I've heard of people changing out the oil in the factory Suzuki's damper to give them a better feel. Since the Honda damper is electronic I imagine adjustments are possible, but more technical than just changing oil grades? I would like for it to feel a little tighter, not as much play while downshifting and coming to a stop. I assume changing out the damper would improve things, but I didn't know if the factory unit is adjustable at all. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I have heard that the only way to change the adjustments on the original HESD, is to get a HRC computer(replace your orig). and then you need a special cable of some sort...I too want to keep the HESD on my 06' too, but have yet to look into the HRC computer... But will probably do it very soon...

No adjustment possible!
That would be incorrect .
If you purchase a Dan Kyle/HRC ECU , the software & cable available at an added expense to reprogram certain functions of the ECU then you can turn the HESD off/on as well as setting the damping levels on a scale of 1-10 for both constant speed & acceleration.

yep
the hrc ecu as well as the accompanying cable can adjust the hesd but it is very expensive
it is cheaper to get the ohlins or gpr
