I found a really good deal on a brand new set of Dunlop 208 GP's. They are hard compound. Since they are a racing tire and softer than street tires, I was wondering what kind of mileage I might get out of them on the street. My riding style is a mix between agressive riding and just cruising and taking it easy. It varys depending on my mood or who I ride with. Would the harder compound really get that many more miles, even for a racing tire?

They are probably going to suck being that they are track tires. They are only made to last for so many heat cycles until they break down and no longer heat to proper gripping temperatures. You'd be better off getting some Qualifiers or Pilot Powers.

2 miles + 1 wicked burnout.

I've got the 208GP's on mine, love the traction, hate the life. I got about 1 season of track days on mine.... soooo about 600-900 miles? Hope ya got em really cheap if your gonna use em on the street. More than likely you'll wear a flat spot in the centers pretty quick. Triax hit it on the nose... go with qualifiers if you want street tires.
