I'm going to get a Repsol 1000. I don't want to finance it on a Honda card, so I am going to my credit union to get the loan.
Now, I called Chicago Cycles and they have three in stock. How much should I pay for one? I'll be paying cash (well, it'll be cash to them).
A guy on the phone told me that if i came in there with 12,500 cash, they wouldn't say no. Is that a good price?

For $12,500 I would tell them to cram their bike straight up ther arse!!!!!!! Much cheaper to be found!!! I know of three Repsols still in the crate here for $11,215 each. Thats cheaper than what I paid for mine and I walked in with a pocket full of Benjamins to pay with!!!!!

It is all about how much you want the bike and how much you are willing to pay for. Repsol 1000RR limited edition / Nicky Hayden racing bike scheme!, you are pretty much on the spot.
A 1 1/2 month ago, when I was trying to get my bike, the Honda dealer told me there was not any available in my state. They called other dealers, but nobody had the bike anymore. It was not until I met this Honda representative in Laguna Seca Moto GP, that I got a hold of one. I have to ride the bike for 8 hours straight to get it to my town.
There are a couple of them on e-bay, you should check them out. Also, the MSRP in Hondas' website is 11,800. I am pretty sure you can negotiate this price, mainly if you are going to pay "cash" for it. 11, 500 should put you out of the door with a brand new limited edition Repsol bike.
Good luck, and let us know the final price.

One thing to think of though.....The price of the bike revoleves directly around the rules of Supply and Demand. Demand is HIGH.....Supply is LOW = You pay out the nose for a Repsol CBR. This bike is rapidly becoming very hard to locate For Sale. Just food for thought!!!

Remember in the world of todays financing cash is the same to a licensed dealer as any financed deal. They get their money reguardless so cash isnt a big concern. Find a mom and pop shop with a repsol somehow and this is where cash talks. In florida if there was a repsol anywhere near $12000, it would be gone before they opened the crate.

Does $12,500 include frieght/prep/tax & lisence?
Unless you like the color scheme, why buy a Repsol? Limited edition doesn't mean crap if you're gonna put miles on it.

are you going to buy any gear....instead of trying to get them down on the price...make them throw in stuff....= more csh to them....might give you more leverage...I am SSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous!!

I was sniffing around for a Repsol for the past 3 months or so. Couldn't believe it when I found a brand new one in Vicksburg, MS 2 weeks ago ( 11 Nov/Veterans Day). I drove there in the morning after finding it on their website. They had sold it to some Floridian who was driving up later that next day to pick it up! I would have bought it, but he sold it the night before and was finishing the paperwork for a mere $10,500 out the door - taxes to be paid in FL if applicable.... They just wanted it off there floor. That kinda hurt, but I kept on searching and got really lucky. Bid on one on E-bay after talking to the guy FIRST. Won the bid which was a mere $9,500, but it was a 19 hour round trip to go get it! Didn't matter, it was worth it. My contact was a fellow Service Member who took care of the bike immaculately and he was of the greatest caliber individuals - pure luck that I did business with him. If you go E-Bay, I highly suggest you talk to the person selling the bike in person. I noticed a lot of hijacked pictures from other peoples former sales and false prices that made no sense, as well as the "Please contact me on my personal mail" crap. Any super deal like "$2900" Buy it now = robbery! They are looking for your downpayment and then they skip. Buyer beware of these scams! I've seen at least 8, and 5 were on the Repsols. Locations and VIN's weren't given so nothing really matched, but a good deal can be had if you take your time and be cautious!!! Good luck and Godspeed on this venture!

Saw a Repsol sitting at
www.wowmotorcycles.com in Atlanta for $9790.00 which is a decent price for being a mildly used machine! Go check it out!!!
