I finally have it!!!! I rode my brand new Titanium CBR 1000RR home last night and I still have a smile on my face today
I thought I was in for a surprise when I walked in the door and the dealer said "I have some bad news and some good news" — Turns out Honda Australia announced yesterday they will drop the price on the 05 Fireblade, and because mine was sold only days before, technically it wasn't eligible for the price drop!

Then the good news came — the dealer felt pretty bad about the situation I was in, so he decided to throw in a new slip-on muffler of my choice on my first and free 1000-km service!
Now all I have to do is wait for some clear weather so I can scrub in the shiny new tires.

Thanks guys, I will keep you all posted on any mods I do. As for you Chainstretcher — Black and silver might go quiker, but I'm willing to bet they get hit by cars more often too!

Haven't you figured out that the RepSol is the fastest.......3 - 5 horsepower gain for each sticker so I should be in the neighborhood of at least 285 to 300 horse on this thing. Your Black and Silver thing don't gotta prayer!!!! LOL

How fast is FAST. I had a hard time the other day to keep my head tucked in behind the windshield when I hit the 154 MPH mark (4 lanes highway/ open road /no cars around / full gear / Repsol 1000RR bike). Keep in mind that I only held the speed for approx 4 seconds before I started to slow down; which took forever. Things happen too fast at that speed.

Andale -- go only as fast as you're comfortable. I remember the first time I hit 155mph I thought I was gonna take off. Now it's only mildly amusing.
