OK so my CBR 600 F3 wont start....before it wouldnt even turn over but i charged up the battery and now it turns over but wont fire up. Sometimes ill get a little putter but thats it.....i dont know if its not getting any fuel or i have a carb problem or what....i sprayed some starter fuel in the carbs thinking that would help but nothing but a backfire....and i sprayed starter fluid in the intake but it still wouldnt turn over.....im really lost....could it be a bad fuel filter or fuel pump.......PLEASE HELP!!!

sounds like an ign. problem, maybe sparkplugs?

Ok if I unplug that line to the carbs what will the pump do....will it squirt fuel? Cuz I uplugged that line on the pump and if I removed my finger it would squirt fule.....

And if it is the plugs how do I check if Im getting spark?

Change your plugs they are prob. the problem. Trust me I had the same prob. with my F3. Also I would just get a new battery. I have found that recharging them only works for so long.

If you sprayed starter fluid and it wouldn't start, you have an ignition problem. You may also have a fuel problem, but fix the ignition problem first. You either aren't getting a spark or are getting it at the wrong time (backfire). First check that the engine stop switch is on.

Second, make sure the plug wires are on the correct plugs. Number 1 is on the left when sitting on the bike. OK, now instead of pulling the plugs, I use some old plugs from my Jeep, but you can use any ones. Pull the #1 and #2 spark plug wires and install the old plugs. Lay them on the valve cover. Crank the engine. Numbers 1 and 2 use different coils, so if one sparks, but the other doesn't, it could be that coil. If neither spark, you have to check all the safety switches (sidestand, neutral, etc.). That will get you in the ballpark.
