As probably none of you know, aside from motorcycles, I am an avid gun freak. But the news I found out this week could drasticly decide my fate as well as anyone who either wants to build a class 1 2 or 3 weapon. Heres a link to the
INFO HERE

Basicly, anyone who wants to build their own gun, will have to end up paying 2-3 times as much for the kits, that is, if they stay available, and if you own something like I do, along the lines of an AK-47, Sten MK-3, Mosin Nagants, G3A3, ect... If they catch you with anyone of these guns that were built with the kits, they can take your barrel! How stupid is this?

I also am an avid gun nut. I learned how to reload at 12 years old and have been shooting years before that with my dad. (He to was an avid collector and reloader). I have built 3 AR-15 rifles. One is and original SP1, another is a flat-top with a target barrel and the third is a 9mm carbine. Guess I'm not sure what to think about the regulation on these guns. It's already pretty strict. Wher do I go on the site to read the info? Couldn't find it.

Thanks

Most of the guns you find on the list will be imported kits. I think they found a few kits being shipped still had the automatic sears in them. Like AK's, SKS, and FN/FAL's. I don't hardly think you will find AR's on there since they are sold here. I know for a fact Springfeild Armory and COLT don't want any trouble from the government since thats who they mainly contract to.

It will only be on guns that have been imported and have a barrel, any of them. so colt is probaby ok. but any British, French, German, Romanian, Russian, ect will be screwed. thats what kinda sux

Glad i'm not the only gun nut here. And I live about 20 miles from the Springfield Armory, Armalite, Les Baer, Eagle Arms, and Rock River Arms factories. Plenty to go around here!!

The crazy part is that it's also one of the most anal states as far as gun laws go. I mean they won't even let retired police have a concealed carry permit

Tell me about it!! They're trying again to ban assault weapons and put these factories out of business around here. I guess illinois thinks that street thugs use a $1500 les baer custom or an armalite when they rob mini-marts. What a great idea, I mean Chicago banned handguns and there obviously aren't any handgun murders in Chicago anymore, right?

I didnt move there for the reason of strict, senseless gun laws. I chose the lesser of 2 evils when I moved up here to Wisconsin to work for a big tech company. Still have my Florida CCL, keep it up to date!
