this is f***ing crazy.. i mean $5K for a wash, even tho it lasts for 6 months (they say) - but if you did take it out, still got to worry about droppings, dirt, tar etc etc (even if it is waxed - it wont last)

But i might look at doing somewhat of a wash like this to my camaro - i do see scratches in my paint, but thanks to this vid - i found out a way to get those buffed out (sorry, i only do an hour car wash to it.. im lazy haha)

yea it does seem alittle impractical, but then again if you can afford the car, you can afford the wash. And the guy even said if a bird crapped on the car he would persoanlly drive out and clean it, so its kinda like a warranty. Lol yea im the same way with my car, but i definately got some pointers from it. lol

keep in mind, thats 5,000 pounds, not us dollars. according to google the exchange rate is about 1.88 dollars for every pound, bringing your total to about 9400 US dollars. insane

Its all relative. A wealthy owner of a $500,000 car spending $9400 USD on detailing is the same as an owner of a $30,000 car spending $564. I can't even begin to imagine how much goes into maintaining or selling a used exotic like an Enzo. With the insane maintenance costs, insurance, etc. that goes with ownership I would do everything possible to maintain its resale value.

Its seems crazy to us because people that own cars like that live in a different stratosphere. They make so much money that they can afford to have other people do what we do every day. In fact, they CAN'T afford to do it themselves. It would cost them too much money. If that $500,000 car represents 10% of their yearly income ($5 million) and they took the 6 hours to do it themselves it would cost them $10,146 (5mill / 12 months / 4 weeks / 60 (hours worked), which doesn't include the cost of Brazilian carnuba wax and all the other necessities. It sounds like a bargain to me. If I was an investment banker, with a family..would I want to spend 6 hours doing something that I could easily afford to pay someone else to do (and a much better job I might add) or spend what little time I have out of the office with my family?

Me too. I'll just have to settle for sitting in my dinky garage, sipping from a bottle of Boone's farm, staring at my bike.

The only thing I don't get is the use of the pressure washer, seems kinda scary on a soft lacquer paint.
