Yeah I had to get geico b/c of driving record - state farm wouldn't insure me. I'm now paying around 2,850 a year for full coverage.

State farm is the least expensive I found. Good service too.

Ok I use to work for state farm and I will say they really have their policyholders in focus. However they are hard to get into, in fact i couldnt even get a policy because I had one accident the same year I looked to join. Depending on your state and the riding scene you will pay more or less, In miami/ south fl you can expect to pay top dollar, actually 70% of the nation's, yes the nation's insurance fraud happens there.
I have progressive and I have no complaints but I plan to get everything under SF after few more months, I really speak highly of the company and I only worked for them for 9 months then i went back to grad school full time.
And I hope when you all say full coverage you really have good policy limits i currently have large limits liabiltiy person and property, uninsured motorist and medical payments coverage and road side assistance.
remember yes you can have full coverage at the bare miniums like 10/20/10 but really you better hope you dont cost that much damage and pain to another person, just a note a med vac flight cost 10-13k at a min, and imagine if you hit and total another bike or car that is fairly new once you reach 10k in coverage you on your own !!! Or better yet you are hit by someone who is "fully covered" with the miniums protect yourself and your investment with decent limits!!
I saw it often when i was in the field, and in FL motorcycles are not covered under the no fault law, and for some reason Fl does not I repeat does not require a driver to carry bodily injury liability meaning they do not have to carry insurance that covers your injuries, they only need insurance to cover your first 10k of property dmg

about 200 a month for me, but remember no one needs insurance until they need insurance, and remember florida no fault insurance (pip) does not cover motorcycles!! (that is true for most other states) in other words if you have it on your car as it is required your are NOT covered on your bike and cannot buy it for your bike. and we all know that even a small accident can hurt or break something, but if you have few thousand laying around to fix yourself or your bike then dont get insurance.

I think it has a lot to do with where you live. I'm in Houston close to the city but in a nice area, 36, totally clean driving record - $2400.00 a year(full coverage) on average with State Farm on every superbike I checked into.... Crazy.. Maybe I should get my home owners insurance with them and see what they would do????.

How are you guys paying so little for full coverage. My PLPD is 350 year. How old are you guys. I'm 23 no marks on my driving record, and my bike is free and clear but I couldn't imagine getting that quote for full coverage. Everywher I went they wanted over $2,000 a year for full coverage. I wish I could get full coverage for less than $1,000 a year
