Hey people!
I jsut wanted everyones opnion pls, i know mechanics dont make that much like $10 an hour or soemthing but i was thinking that in about a year or two open up my own mechanic shop in Miami, you know set service tuned towards the super sport bike poplation. you know maybe design decals, to day to day mecanical work on the bikes, fix stuff, order parts in that kinda stuff.
so i dunno compared to a mechanic it sounds like it would be harder but pull it a bit more and be more fullfilling.
any opinions or comments?

It takes alot of cash to get started and many will go bankrupt in a year. Im not a business person myself but if you have the skills, reputation, and can provide what the people want at a resonable price GO FOR IT.

Yes it takes a ton of money. I was going to open a performance car shop last year, but when I sat down and crunched the numbers it was just to big of a risk. If you have a bankroll for the shop and things plus a great location and marketing go for it. Maybe get some partners or investors to help you out.

I am opening Art of Light Photography here in Amarillo TX. It has taken a year to get started. I had to come up with $85,000 just to open the doors.

The question is how bad do you want it? Are you willing to kill yourself to get that booming business, b/c if your not...don't do it and keep it on the side. Or start it as a side business and let it gradually pic up.
