I've ridden my F4i for about 2200 miles since I got it in December (not a lot of good riding weather). I enjoyed it a lot.

But, I'm 6 foot and weigh 225 and felt like the bike didn't have enough oomph when taking off or at low RPMs.

So I did it.

I went in to my dealer at lunch today and told him I wanted a new '06 1000RR. Told him I knew I would eat it on the trade, but I got some saddle time and didn't kill myself while getting my feet wet on the F4i.

So this afternoon, I drove home on my new Red/Black 1000RR. I only got about 30 miles on it, but it was a blast. And man, does that thing have some torque!

Anyway, just wanted to pass on the info. Hopefully the weather will get nice again in a few days and I'll be able to post some pics.

I've bought 4 of my 5 bikes from Dave Mungenast...

Each time I tell them to give me their best price right off the bat because I'm buying the bike today and I don't haggle. One time they didn't because my normal sales guy wasn't there and I ended up buying from someone else.

I used to go to Carbondale a lot when I was younger... haven't been that way in quite a while.
