jardine rt-1 street vs. rt-1 race

i put the street version on (jardine rt-1 street)because i heard it would sound smoother. it is smooth, but i have since heard the race version on a few other bikes and it sounds a lot better. i was told that the race would be louder and maybe offer a few more HP. does anyone have any experience with either? i am thinking about getting rid of the street and switching to the race.
