I dont know about you guys but I cant stand stretched swing arms and chrome has been used wwaaayyyy to much. Its like women getting an outdated purse or something.

Dude ... take some midol and chill! Lot of work goes into stretching and blinging. I know it may not be everyone's cup-o-tea but ya gotta recognize the effort that goes into it.

Ya know, this is probably why there’s a struggle for voters/interest for Bike of the Month. First off, folks with attitudes like yours need to take into account the flip side. Hell, I personally think bikes that look like they came straight off the showroom floor are boring, but I realize they took enough pride in their bike to clean it up and I can only respect that.
Looking back on the history of Bike of the Month, one can only surmise that only a “certain” type of bike is selected; basically stock looking with minor upgrades. Creativity in most instances is definitely lacking. If those bikes were (God forbid) stolen, there doesn’t seem to be anything unique about them that would call attention to the bike, therefore making it a bit difficult to spot in the crowd. Now I don’t know if that pervading attitude comes from the fact that not all of us have the resources to be unique and really create a work of art, or if it’s just a track junkie mentality (if it’s got accessories that aren’t conducive to racing on the track, then it’s a piece of junk) that’s the dominant culture here. Either way, it just plain makes a certain segment of the CBR (hey, wait a minute…is this a CBR site?) riding community (those of us that do have the resources to make our bikes stand out in the crowd) feel that there’s an existing bias here. For that very reason, the BOM and this site as a whole seems to go in circles. It’s the same folks and the same bikes and that’s evidenced by the admins having to literally beg for folks/new blood to vote for BOM. Yeah, real exciting. I’m really curious what the turnaround ratio is for membership here in terms of how long new folks stay.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that thinks this. As a result, sadly, I spend the time I’m not out RIDING my motorcycle on other boards. As a CBR rider, you’d think one would feel more welcome on a board that caters to our motorcycles and yet, I know I don’t.
Good luck to the nominees. May the best bike win.

harsh (but very true) words stephygee. and i agree 100% with what's being said. this thread (and all other ROTM threads) are created and intended for the use of praising fellow members and the work that went into making their particular bikes unique and totally their own. everyone needs to have a little respect and show a little maturity. please do not use this as a chance to voice your opinions AGAINST someone else. keep the postings positive, reguardless of your thoughts and personal opinions.

I "beg" for votes because I want the broadest range possible to select the ROTM -- that means chrome, stretchy and stock luvvin peeps get a voice.
Now, unless anybody has anything nice to say ... you know the rest

Alright already. I voted. May Recker win.
For fear of being lambasted.... Good luck to all, it almost doesn't seem fair that four people have to lose. (Is that politically correct enough?)

I liked the color scheme on Recker's bike the best, but Deezhul's with the all black and a few green spots is pretty sick looking. I feel like i need to go wash my bike now. Pretty looking bikes everybody.

congratulations to all nominated for july ROTM. all worthy nominees and all hot bikes.
i must say, certainly got abit ugly earlier with all the mixed emotions and what seemed to be pent up frustration. lets not kill the goose that layed the golden egg here guys. personally, the bigger variety the better, cover the largest demographic possible. eddie, that cbr is crazy, hat off to you for the concept, the work and the end result, great looking machine.
my point goes to deezul though. that is a beautiful beautiful machine, nothing i like more than a black bike rolling around on some seriously tough rims. extra points for titanium, is there a better metal? i think not. you won my vote for the month.

How is this even a competition? Anyone that spends more money on accessories and accessorizin their bike than the price at which they bought it deserves to win hands down. Go Eddie, show off that crazy swing arm. It like 8 feet long, wow!

My vote is for recker. That bike looks ready for the track or a night out on the town.

C'mon, only 16 more votes will push us to a ROTM record 170 --- I'm still hoping for 200.

What's up eveyone? Only 5 votes for jdiggity? I got other fast toys I gotta pay attention to at the same time as my bike... check out the attatched picture. And what is all the hatin' on the banana seats about? Don't ya know that I can take TWO girls home with me on that thing? (Well, I guess that 8 foot long swing arm still has me beat on that one huh?) Thanks for the votes so far and don't be afraid to vote for the best everyday bike here to choose from! Laters.
