I just got a PCIII from a local guy.  It's used, but was on an 03 f4i.  I have an 01 so it should work pretty well.  The only problem is, it didn't come with any instructions.  How do I hook this thing up?  And can I program it without hooking it up to the bike?   It had a map loaded for a Micron, so I want to get it back to the zero map before I hook it up.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Which PCIII is it?

If it's the USB version, you can program it without hooking it up to the bike, but you need a white plug that has a 9V battery hook up that goes into the expansion port.  If you don't have that, you'll have to use the bike's power.

To install, there's a pair of large circular gray plugs located just under the left (shifter) side of the gas tank, right about where the gas cap is (draw a line left, and look under the tank right by the frame).  You'll just plug the PCIII in there.

Thanks for the help.  I actually found the install instructions right after I posted this.  Before that for some reason all I could find were instructions on how to run the software.

Any suggestions on where to put it so that it takes up the least amount of trunk space?  I have a Hotbodies undertail, so I am already missing some trunk space.  Anybody with a hotbodies kit and a PCIII that can post some pictures of how theres is setup would be very helpful too.  Thanks.
