I ordered the Icon Timax jacket in black. I got it from MetricBikes-superstore.com, guys there are great prices are the best that I have found. I got the jacket shipped for $180, the retail price is $215 and its not on sale or anything. I love these jackets and can't wait to get it. I was going to order the KBC Force RR Zombie helmet, but it won't be available until March, but they are offering free shipping on it when it comes in so I'll get it then. Just thought I'd pass on the info and check out their site, they have sone great deals.
Heres what the jacket looks like if you don't know-
I'm also going to order a set of hotbodies fluch mounts later tonight or tomorrow so those will be here before I can start riding. I'll get some better pics when everything gets here.

yuck???? Looks good to me. That was my other choice when I was ordering/buying my Joe Rocket Alter Ego. I wasn't sure if the skull on the shoulders were metal, a patch or print.

Yuck?? Whatever you have your opinion, and I have mine.
Don, its not a skull but more like a pad I'll take a close up pic when I get it for you. The pads are made out of titanum (SP), theres one on the back too. I like how the jacket fits me and it seems really durable. I want good portection, but not sweat my ass of sitting in traffic with a leather jacket so I got the textile jacket. I have heard a few people say that they are more about bling than durability, but have heard a few that said thet they hold up great in a crash. I've done my research, so I feel I made a good choice.

I wasn't talking bad about it... I like it. I've seen a lot of Icon gear using metal and thought it would get scratched up and damage other things so I decided on the JR jacket... I like the looks of Icon more.

I quite like it, I do think the writing across the chest looks a bit naff though. Don`t forget about pants. I see a lot of pics of people in really expensive jackets then just jeans for there legs. Tarmac goes straight through to skin in a 40 mph off.

Doesn't look to bad at all. I was going to go with a black jacket but I wanted something more visible so I went with a different color. Looks good though.

I know you weren't talking bad about it, I was refering to the guys that said "Yuck". I was just trying to explain what the plates on the sholders were. I don't think it will scratch anything on the bike up, but I'm not too worried what happens to the plates on the jacket.
About the pants, I think I'm going to get a pair of the Timax pants in the next month or so. They will be better than wearing jeans and they don't look too bad IMO.
Thanks for the thoughts guys

The bike that I was going to get, before it sold, was blue and white and I was going to get the blue Timax jacket. The F4i is red/black and I was thinking of getting the red/black timax jacket, but I'm not really into the whole matching gear to the bike thing. Having some of the colors match is fine, but you can get carried away. People around here are pretty good with bikers, but that doesn't mean that I trust them LOL. I think they will see the black jacket just fine.
