that's one awesome looking bike, dude!!! I got a 2003 cbr954rr anf 80% chromed out. your bike pic just made more excited to see my 1000rr repsol. after searching the net (my local dealer couldn't secure one for me) finally got one in washington, but almost lost that one as well, but now it's mine. I noticed there's no plate yet, how long you had that sweet looking thing???

That looks like it will turn out pretty sweet. Make sure to keep us posted with pics of the progress. Welcome to the boards by the way.

Here is mine, grabbed her Tuesday of this week. I have blocked off the mirrors, fender eliminator, short stalks, and I have a seat cowl and Akropovic Ti exhaust on the way.

I envy you QCS. I love the Red/White/Blue color scheme. Very sharp. Nice choice.

Here's my 04 1000RR. Just finished blocking off mirrors and ordering shogun frame sliders. Have a bar-end mounted mirror on the left side. Anyone know the law about rear-view mirrors? Im pretty sure I only need one.

all of these bikes look amazing. why do you guys or girls prefer the 1000RR over other leading liter bikes, like the R1 or the GSXR1000?

more stable

The bike is so stable that I made myself have motion sickness when I rode it hard on a curvey road. I had other bikes and was never able to hang the corners even close to the way the 1KRR does.

what color is it? just a matte grey?

It is actually black base coat and it has a clearcoat on top with a flatening agent mixed in the clear. Dupont offers this. It is just as durable as anything else but if it gets scratched it can't be buffed out unless the entire bike is done, then it will shine and I wanted the flat black look. This is the paint job that I paid only $500.00 for, with the plastics getting repaired also.
