They were following him because he won the car he drove up in buying a scratch off there. It was a local news team doing a story on him winning the car so they had him walk in and buy another ticket so they could film it and add it to the story. My question is... did they give him the money to buy this ticket? Think how you'd feel if you were the reporter that handed him $5 and told him to buy the ticket.... he won 250k off your money.
