Motovation No Cut Sliders

I know, I know, not another slider question. *sorry guys*
 
But I have been looking and looking for what sliders I want, and was wondering if any of you had them. Want to know if they are worth the $ 145.
 
I know everybody says that the cuts are better, but there aint no way in hell im cutting my fairings.

Personally, I wouldn't install any sliders. Especially since you don't want to cut into your fairings. I know a lot of people install these in case they drop the bike. But, that's what insurance is for. I think they look like crap and detract from the looks. I know a lot of people will disagree with me.

I see your point, but not everybody is covered by insurance for that.  I fully own my bike, and have minimum insurance (liability).  If my bike goes down because of something stupid I do, it's costing me money.  That's why I used the Motovation cut sliders.  They look sick and seem like they are well built, but fortunately I haven't had a chance to see how well they work yet.

I had some motovation sliders for my 2003 GSXR1000 and they are the same as any other slider personally speaking.  They do have the sticker on the end that says motovation...They do cost more for some reason, not sure why because they are all made out of Delrin and have machined inserts with SS bolts.

if you dont want to cut the fairings and do it right, dont do it at all. But dont cry when your shyt gets all phuqedup.

I paid cash for my bike too. But, I carry full coverage. I guess if you don't have full coverage, then get the sliders. Point taken.

Hey man, i have the motovation cut sliders, and LOVE them. CUT IT!!!!! haha it's scary as hell, but they turned out great!!!

Just remember if they dont have derlin pucks it wont slide like it needs too and could dig into the pavement instead and cause more damage.

just put shoguns on my 07 about an hr ago.. showering up before i take pics..
 
i only bought them because the only kid i knew up here last year laid his 06 over with them on .. he was doing about 45 just hit a sandy/dirty corner his bike slid for a good while.. and i will say his pucks didnt dig in, they did just what they should, nothing broke, and his puck was worn about 1/2way down..
 
thats what sold me .. but the moti's and the R&G's are just as good if not better in my eyes.. i just bought what i had SEEN work.

i understand your fear to cut up some pricey fairings........but seriously its easy. dont rush, take your time.....if you rush through something you're more likely to slip up and make a mistake. my g/f cut her OWN slider holes and hers were spot on, as were mine.

No cut sliders are perfectly good alternatives to cut frame sliders... you run a much better risk of simply getting cosmetic damage instead of serious mechanical damage with either option.  with that in mind, some frame sliders (as PlayGod eluded to) aren't made of the material that grinds down on the pavement during a high speed crash, and that can cause the bike to roll over or flip.  If you get the high quality Derlin sliders with the puck at the end, then you're as protected as you can be. 

Sliders are also really effective for low speed impacts moreso than high speed impacts.  Nothing wrong with going with no cuts... I would be a little hesitant to cut the fairings myself.  Also, if you ever sell the bike some people might not be interested in having a whole cut in there.

I have motivation axle and fork sliders....and Shogun No Cut Frame Sliders. Hell I dont know....just dont wreck your damn bike!!!

If you are 100% against cutting your fairings yourself, just have the dealer do it. Yea, it may cost a little to have them do it, but I'm sure it will be worth is if something were to happen and the only thing you would have to replace is the slider itself.

I just had the dealer cut my fairings for 80$ total work. Its worth it if you're not very proficient at those kind of things
