There definately is nothing wrong with carrying a weapon...its actually the smartest thing u can do...some wacked out people out there...just have to be smart about carrying it and if/when u have to use it...and kris im in the marines now..out in like a month or 2..

Great looking bike.  The 08 in black is my second favorate, but I think I'm going to get the silver one. 

I live in SoCal, only time I leave the house unarmed is when I am going for a run.  Way too many bad people out there, especially in areas like Southern CA and FL where the borders are not protected.

And by the way, the Little Tikes dump truck is rollin hard.  I forgot the wheel brand but they have a nice lip to them!  LOL.  My daughter is 2 and a half...my son is 10...5' tall and 120lbs...my middle girl is a girlie girl.  So my youngest, I am thinking about building her a junior dragster next year and we work on it until she is 7 because then she can run them!  So I am thinking of a frame now!  :D

Just wanted to say your a stand up guy kr1s.  You didn't have to explain yourself, but you did anyways, and did it well.  Kudos.  There's nothing wrong with protecting your property and your Family.
 
And BTW, I love the bike.  I have the same one.  Thanks for letting me see what it looks like with mods.

I'm trying to get a lil ride together to Palm Beach Gardens tomorrow for a nice lunch on the water. WOOT!

Forgot to mention- my group meets up in North Lauderdale off 95 and Cypress Creek at a diner on Fri nights. After the kickstand party and with full belly's, the group usually breaks up for rides to various locations, including downtown Lauderdale.

hey, im kinda new around here and I have been looking at purchasing the same bike here shortly.. I  noticed you have frame sliders on your bike, and it doesnt look like you had to modify anything to put them on?

Damn- rode past ya today on the Sawgrass coming back from a run to Clewiston via 27. Soon you'll have to come! Did you see me waving to you from the hwy? hehe

he he he!  Yes I passed!  I saw a lot of bikes ride past but I was the only one in full gear.  Everyone else had Hello Kittie sweatshirts and garden gloves on!  I guess it would have been smarter to take the class first rather than get the bike but screw it!  I go today at 4 to get my endorsement!  I should be able to start getting out this week.  I have my Project Management Professional exam this friday...UGH!  Along with a bachelor party friday, wedding for a friend on Saturday and a party on Sunday!  I need a break!  But let me know if you all do anything during the week and I may try to get out before the weekend after next!
 
And sysnxt, no, I didn't cut anything.  They are Shogun "no cut" sliders.

Yeah some squidies out there, not my group. We're full gear.

Some things we do during the week- which part of Miami are you in? Upper? central? lower?

I don't do Miami but there's a couple of guys that come up for our Clewiston rides on Sundays when there's a big group.
Again, depends on where you live. Might be a hike for you to come to Broward.

Lord that's a handful of folks.  I am actually just south of Miramar.  Off of I-75 and Miami Garden's Drive.  So it wouldn't be too bad of a trek up to Broward.  I am not sure where Clewiston is, but I can find it.  Nice pics....Oh, and the license is endorsed now!  And the bike went to work with me today! :D

was just reading through your thread, cool IS and RR. in regards to modding the IS, i'd just leave it as it is. its a nice entry level midsize sporty car, but other than that it just wasn't made for speed. the engine is great 200hp like you said. you have the bike who cares if the 350 is faster ;) .

i've never understood why noobs mod their first bike. a pipe only sees justification on the racetrack. looks cool though. congrats!

Yeah, I am leaving the IS as it is.  It is comfortable and after having some of my other cars, comfort is the key.
 
As for modding the bike, it is really just personal taste.  I like the blacked out look of the bike so it was only logical to get a carbon fiber exhaust.  The frame sliders are obviously functional for a "newb" and the turn signals, cmon, the bike looked like it had cat whiskers on it before I put the flush mounts!

i carry myself (work in law enforcement field) and i suggest it to anyone who thinks they can handle a firearm..do it.
 
love the bike, would only drop the IS an inch or 1.5, 2.5 seems a bit much, but beautiful looking car.

Get this.. i lived in VT for four years, I got a carry permit for an extra $5 (because im not a felon) when i bought my XD .45, and 1000 rounds for free, all at the same time. For those of you who dont know, its a double stacked .45 pistol that is illegal in CA because its too lethal (too much force and capacity). Since ive moved back to NY, I have not had it because my paperwork is still in process, so its been in a gun collectors vault in CT. Some states could care less, others are ridiculous. Needless to say you dont throw the bird to people who cut you off up there. The registered firearms outnumber the population by 300%. Swallow that one.

Nice quad and dual peds. I have the Yosh, its great. Side note after you get about 1000 miles on it, it will be twice as loud as it was when you got it.

A chief special .45 s&m everywhere I go! I am Military also and some places you need it! I grew up in Detroit and lived in orlando for 3 years. Talk is cheap and a pistol  theres no need for talk. I respect a man that carrys, as I hope they do the same.
