Hi all

I pick up my 2003 600rr this saturday, which i traded my zx7r ninja in for.
I was wondering wether it was a good move, is there any bad points to the bike.
what sorts of mods do people do, what sort of power do they make.
also do they have a slipper clutch in this model

sorry for questions but my first bike was the 7r and i'm just comparing, the 7r was 109 at wheel

thanks

Most of what you asked as far as the power and the slipper clutch can be found on these forums, try searching under each.  As far as did you make a good move... you are on a Honda Forum... we are quite tainted because we love our bikes... other than that welcome to the Honda Community

It is going to be able to compare the two bikes. Two different classes of bikes. You will not be dissapointed with your rr. As far as mod's go, do some searching. There is many upgrades you can do to your machine.

Welcome, got any pics?

If you ask if it was a good move on "cbrforum.com" then it's pretty obvious that people are gonna tell you that you made the right move.  Put this same thread on "zx7rforum.com" and everybody is gonna tell you that you made the wrong move.  That being said, I think you made the right move.  Congrats on the Honda, let's see some pics!!!

I have an 03 as well (Yellow)
Love it,  put the Termignoni slip on a few months ago and just strapped on new Michelin Pilot Powers for the spring/summer.  You'll be pleased as everyone else said.  Welcome to the Honda community

Now i pick up the bike on sat, but couldn't wait so went and asked for a propper ride.....

First impresions, is throttle bit snatchy on off throttle, then i thoughtm stop being a tosser and just ride!

What a machine, compaired to the 7r its so light, i mean the 7 was my first bike so cant say about other bikes, side to side is no effort what so eva, and the lack of mid range was no problem, really smooth power delivary. suspension was stiff but soaked all bumps up, and went where i wanted it to.

only thing, could do with a tooth of the front sprocket

Cant wait to pick it up and not have to give it back

Again what a fantastic machine, front end good only one problem the rear shock keeps trying to send me up in the air??
I weigh 13 stone (182pounds) with gear on, what position do you recomend for the rear pr-load to be set at its on the third one i think
