After working a long 8 hrs on Audi, fords, and other bullshit 5 rolled around and it was time to go home. I usually take my clothes home in my bookbag or truck, but didnt have either. I put 1 shirt/pant in a small grocery bag, and headed home. (DONE THIS MANY TIMES!!) I was about 1/2 way home when i felt like some one spiked a huge rubberband in the ground and speared it to the rear of my bike. I dropped it down 2 gears until i finally realized what happened. my clothes in the bag got sucked into the wheel......F*** ME! I looked back in my mirror and it looked like i was doing a rolling burnout...(1000 FT) i pulled into the middle of the road b/c its was the safest place to go. Cars backed off cuz they didnt know what was going on. Anyways my rear hugger got ripped to pieces, and my clothes were at the breaking point of catching on fire. HMMM...dont think ill be wearing them on monday. BULLSHIT I say, but at least no wheel lockups....i hate those! have a good wke ev1! Ride safe and think about what you hang from your helmet strap under your seats!

my worst fear is that my shoelace or pants are going to be caught in the chain. that happened to me when i was a kid on my BMX and i've still got the scars...

i wear long socks. so when i put on my boots, i tie my laces, then put them to the outside of my boot and fold my sock over the laces to hold them on the side of my boot instead of flying around.

yeah, that could have sucked bad..  not that anyone needs to tell you, but always be absolutely sure your stuff is stowed.

wasnt there a race a couple of years ago where the winner was doing a victory lap with the flag and it got tangled in his rear?
