its up to you in the end but i wouldnt buy a new one unless i had a puncture in the front mate..

I guess that all depends where you're located...but as for now, I would say search on ebay or google. Sorry I cant be of much help.

Have a look at these…. They seem to be the most popular on this board.

I would repair it too, i`ve had a few in the past repaired never any problems. The 208ZR`s not bad but you`ll find the Pirrelli Diablo better for `feel` and should last the same as the dunlops.

I agree..i ran my dunlops til the tread was gone, and the first day that i had the diablo's i fell in love with them. Don't know what it is, they just have a better "feel" to them.

Unfortunately, I've had my last two rear tires plugged and they held (and are holding) up great! Make sure the shop uses an "umbrella plug."

I've always been under the impression that it is not a good idea to plug a bike tire?? Have i been misinformed?

I'm going to go against the grain here.

Personally, I would never ride on a plugged/patched tire. Yes, many have gotten away with it, most likely because they aren't doing any really hard riding.

Think about this, how much money are you really saving? Okay, you plug a tire for $5 or $10. Or get it patched for $40 or so. A new rear tire goes for $120 plus installation. What's, say, $140 vs potential hospital bills or worse???? Is your life worth that???? I think even the starving college student's life is worth more than that.

Just my 2 abe lincolns.

Your right abadfish on the risk, but i do ride it hard, none of the 3 repaired tyres i`ve had have had any problems thats not to say its impossible. But money is money so i guess its his choice.
