Nice bike. Take your time with her. She can be your best friend or worst enemy if you don't know how to handle her. Everything must be a smooth action. Take your time and learn somewhere safe.
Welcome to the site. Love the bike. Buddy of mine has one in the exact same color.

Thanks guys, I just got done with the course and took her out for a spin. She did great, I couldn't ask for better.
It just needs to warm up around here... my hands were ridiculously cold, even with gloves on.
I do have one question, the rear view mirrors for some reason i can't get them to look backwards at the cars behind me. They just point to my arm. Is there something i'm missing here? or do i just have to move my arm every time i want to see behind me....

Bingo. Pretty much you can just adjust them as best you can and compensate when needed. It helps to stay to one side of the lane or the other, that way you can clearly see behind you on at least one side.
You hands were really cold because those are more "summer" riding gloves, pretty light for this time of year.
Edit: almost forgot, welcome to the board and ride carefully!

Yeah, I went out tonight and rode, wow that was ridiculously cold haha. It's 25 degrees out. So I swong by wal-mart and got some cheapo leather gloves. That helped a ton.
Do you guys know of any sort of material I can put on my visor to keep it from fogging up? I tried this "anti-fog" whipe that I found while I was there, but it really didn't help. If anything it made it worse.

Personally I just leave my visor open a tiny crack and wear a ninja style head wrap/neck warmer that only shows my eyes.

That's what i've been doing to see, but it will only do so much. And when I get to speeds above 35mph my contacts start to get really dry and my eyes will start to water.
I didn't know they have anti-fog sheilds... that something I will look into, thanks!quote]

Take it real slow for a long time. This forum is littered with crashed noobs and their sportbikes. Ride slower than you think you should, be careful with the rear brake, and practice. Good luck.

I plan to. last night I actually did lock up the rear brake, but at really low speeds and it lasted about a foot lol. Still learning the bike, I'm doing my best to respect the bikes acceleration and braking power. Both are extremes that i've never experienced before ( I drive a civic to give you a better idea). The most i've taken the bike up to is 65mph and 9k rpm. I think that's all I could ask for at the moment, it's fast and fun. I'm sure down the road i'll get more comfortable with it, I get better every time I ride. Only problem is my left wrist hurts like a bitch from working the clutch several hours a day since saturday.
