There's no way a yellow bike looks better than the red and black '04. Just my opinion.

i'm not a huge fan of the 1 pc seats on the new F4i's... why did they change from the 2 pc on the older models.

No color beats red and black. Plain flat out simple. Red is the fastest color on the planet. But to each there own.

I agree somewhat on the seat, it doesn't look very sporty. But its a lot more comfortable on long rides.

I think they changed it because the F4i is no longer honda's race ready bike, it was replaced by the RR. So now i think the f4i sits in the same category as a yzf 600, or a canatuna (katana), or a zzr600. More or less its the old mans sportbike as i've heard someone put it before. Just another 600 that is not all that aggressive feeling like the race bikes, which seem to feel a lot lower in the front when seated on them due to the clip ons being under the triple.. I think the f4i is still a great bike, especially 01-03, because of the split seat

I think they want to make the f4i into Honda's "Kitana". Shamefull. Makes me want to spend even more money on my 01' to completely remove any similarity. I do like the color schemes on the newer model RR's though. I know better to copy them so I will stay primer gray for a while.

In some sense, yes, the f4i was the RR of its class. Look at the other manufacturers. You have the R6 which is a race bike, and then you have the yzf 600, or look at suzuki, you have a gixxer and then you have a katana, and same with the kawi, zx6 and zzr6. They all have a race class/style bikes and then they have an, as stated before, "old mans sportbike". But before the RR came out, the f4i was the only 600 sportbike honda had, so needless to say, it was the 600 class race bike. But now the RR is out and if you look at things logically, the f4i is now in the lesser class. For instance, look at how much more stuff, race wise, that is made for the RR and not the F4i. But if you had an F4i before the RR came out, you would know that a lot of the stuff they make for the RR now a days was available back in the day for the F4i. It really sucks, being though as it may, I STILL DONT CONSIDER MINE TO BE IN THE SAME CLASS AS THOSE OTHER, THE YFZ(CRAP), THE KAN A TUNA (CRAP), AND THE ZZR6 (DID I ALREADY USE THE WORD CRAP), SEEING AS HOW THE F4I WILL KILL'EM.

I think you can think of it in terms of before and after the banana... refering to the gay seat situation. seems silly to have 2 bikes so similar in pricing that are so far apart in performance... the major difference being how the aftermarket performance products accomodate. Soon enough you'll be hard pressed to find racing products for the F4i and have to pick through the used section and junk piles. (Finally ohlinns has acknowleged the honda 600 class.) There are far too many base improvements you just can't duplicate as the potential of the RR exceeds that of the F4i. The same way the F4i did the F4. I don't get really excited about stock dampers and things like that though, as they are (CRAP) and immediately replaced by those who care... lol. Seems Honda has moved into the modern era of styling on these RR's too. Unlike Yamaha that made the R1 into a styling joke. I think it's a beautiful bike and the top of the 600 pile in my opinion. Can't agree more about the F4i being better than the other top brand equivelents. It "was" the race bike of choice so it can still be... unlike those other brand's lesser model "BS" bikes which were meant for who knows what.
