I gotta ask...how many times do you dump your bike learning to stunt like that. Just curious.

i dont know. i have never dropped the bike so bad that i end up hurting myself. but some parts like to break here and there. that night i think i laid it down about 3 or 4 times. all part of progression, though.

I was really impressed by how smoothly you guy's transition from stunt to stunt ie stoppie to stand up.

Most of these bikes are dropped hundreds of times when your learning new tricks. Me personally I have never dropped my bike, but I haven't started slow stuff yet since I don't have a cage. This winter its getting that and more LOL so next spring its gonna be on.

ya, the smoothness is all clutch it helps to learn not to look at ur tach. just feel the revs through your grips. the transitions between tricks become 2nd nature within time. im still not as smooth on the throttle as i wish i was. i can be really choppy at times.

Don't take this the wrong way but I've often wondered while watching stuntin videos why is it alot of the riders put a cage on the bike but don't protect themselves ie only wear wife beaters, shorts and runners while they ride ? Is it to show their skill to the audience as in their so good they're not likely to get hurt/wipeout and to add some risk to the stunts ? Or is it freedom of movement to more easily be able to do the stunts? You guy's must get a lot of road rash scars every season. Like I said I'm not bashing just curious.

freedom of movement is a biggy. its hard to do some shit if you're wearing full leathers. armor is big among the stunt industry. it provides protection and a good range of motion. icon, 661, motophoria, and a stars all have some armor.

but i usually practice in a t-shirt and jeans. i've learned how to fall and not get hurt, but it took a few skinned up knees to figure it out (tuck 'n roll!!!).

also, a lot of stuff is done at a slow enough speed so you can bail out if needed and just land on your feet. plus if you're comfortable with what you're wearing you have a better chance of not falling.

i need to get some armor, i've been sort of lazy about it and just haven't bought anything yet. but i do plan on adding the 661 SP-2 pressure suit to my wardrobe.

my whole outlook on protection is this: You won't get better if you're sitting at home nursing injuries. now i just gotta act on it........

what Err said is dead on. i try to wear my jacket more so now, when in stunting, but when you are not cruising down the road and having wind cool you off... you get tired fast and loose a lot of water.

Ya CBRchica posted some stunt videos and in one of them the guy loses it and just drops the bike on the ground and lands on his feet. I guess when you're going slow it's easy to keep your balance when you just jump off and with a cage you don't have to worry about the bike.

Mike

PS When can I start to do wheelies? And how long before I can do that stuff? Freakin awesome!

its not easy to balance going slow. way more difficult than you may think

I don't mean on the bike I mean if you dump it it's easier to land on your feet than say if you were doing a wheelie at 70+mph. I had a few weak attempts at a wheelie on my video I posted. hahahaha I suck.

no one was born a stunter...ya gotta practice, then practice some more, then go back at it. the more you want it the quicker you'll learn it...

a cage is a must. i don't **** around if i don't have one, to expensive to replace parts all the time.

its definetly easier to bail and get away relatively unscathed in the lot compared to the streets (but the streets are a different rush, at least for me anyways...)

I just gotta say thats some sic sh!t bro. I Met a guy while riding that showed me a nice practice spot that was doing that kind of stuff but also did some turn arounds while wheelie-ing he was helping me giving me pointers on how to clutch it. But man, sic as hell. Keep it up.
