My memorable moments...
I've done the dumb blinker thing... one too many times - Except when the damn Trooper was behind me. Got TAGged for that idiot move. Never the kickstand thing, but defiantly the Disk Lock. Weeks into riding, pulling out of a spot, I forgot to remove the (bright Yellow) disk lock. Sure enough, the front STOPS, the bike leans over and pins me between an SUV and the right side of my bike. Add to it... I was PINNED so tight, I couldn't move. Luckily for me, the car waiting for my parking spot, became my superhero and pulled my bike off me and freed me from the SUV. Embarrassed? Heck yeah!
Talkin' 'bout Gas station... not even five minutes into me pickin' up my 1000RR, I 'attempted' to enter the Gas Station & BUMP... I go down at 5MPH. I approached the entrance at an angle and thanks to the puddle of water, I didn't notice a big hole by the curbside. My front tire went right into...the bike went down - hard - on me! Busy intersection -- another embarrassing moment. And hundreds of dollars later to replace plastics. O...yeah... I had a hairline fracture on my right shoulder for added bonus!

I had just bought my 99 900RR a couple days prior. Pulled up to stop at a light, first in line, right around rush hour. I used a little too much front brake and lost my balance, being 5'6" didn't help when the bike started to lean to the right and I ended up having to lay it down as easy as possible. Pretty much every person in a car around was staring and either laughing or pointing. Talk about embarassing....and as tho it wasn't bad enough, I finally get it picked up and swing my left leg over to get back on, and damn near drop it the other way while I'm thinking "Turn green already so I can just GO!!!".... also seem to forget the the kickstand in gear thing on a fairly regular basis....

definately have made an @ss of myself with the blinkers, horn and the kickstand. I have tried to shift from 6th to the imaginary 7th gear so many times I have given up worrying about it. By far my most embarrasing was when I took a friend to the MVA for his test. After failing a skill my friend was told to turn off his bike and the examiner waves for me to come out and get the bike. First time on a harley and i stalled it twice and almost dropped it (900lbs.) once before getting it off the course which prompted the examiner to ask my friend how I managed to get MY license. Fun for all watching, especially all the 15 yr olds taking their car test.

These are all great!! I've done the horn thing, the wave - during - a turn and almost lose control thing, the "search" for 7th gear thing, and stall repeatedly before realizing it's not fully in 1st gear while talking to someone about the bike thing.
One thing not mentioned was, and I hate to admit it, but I've actually pulled off a right hand wave to a group of bikers!!!! haha
Also at the dealership after getting her first checkup, try to get her out of the lineup of bikes behind the lot. well I'm not flat-footed and it was on an incline. One of the employees at the dealership notices I'm having a bit of trouble and offers to move her to a better spot for me. After moving her out of the line, he then tells me "you know you could sell the bike for pretty good money. F4i's are popular bikes." I was soo embarrassed. At least I didn't drop her and knock the other bikes over like dominoes.

+1 kick stand, horn, and turn signals.
The one time I was close to dropping my superchicken was after gone riding with my friend Young and his CBR250R(j-spec) we raced on the way back...and of course I smoked him. I got home first, went to put the kick stand down and though it was down, the bike started to tilt, I went oh s***, and I only had the bike for a week so I wasn't going to let it drop no matter what, I was fighting for Young to catch up, but he never showed up, I don't know where I found the strength but I manage to pick it back up without dropping it. So I had this 450lb beast squading between my legs for a good minute or so....but I kept it from falling over, so yay for me!
A funny story on my friend Young and his CBR250R. We went out riding and I had to get gas so we went to a gas station and I was filling the hawk up. Young was sitting on his back seat messing around, bouncing and what not....next thing I hear is "oh shit" and crash...the dumb ass fell over on his bike...hahaha, it was the funniest thing I have ever witnessed. And yes...he's a newbie and the 250 was his starter bike.

+1 on blinkers horn ect...
I was riding my buddies R6, and I was turning around in a gravel parking lot. It wasn't too bad but on the edges of the lot the gravel was like 6'' deep. well i put the front wheel through one of those deep spots and it started to slip, and somehow i managed to dump the clutch and the proceeded to pull the throttle wide open. I managed to keep her up, but there were a few people watchin. I got outta there in a hurry!

One day I was absent minded and left my kickstand down when I first learned how to ride. It was a yamaha 400 speciall II that didn't have a stand safety/kill switch. Anyways, I had to make a right turn and it never occured to me until I went up the road about 1/4 mile and was beginning to enter a left hand sweeper. A guy in the oncoming lane was flashing his lights at me, then as I started to lean, I heard something scraping and dawned on me that it was the kick stand. As I tried to counter lean, and swing my foot to it, I then looked up and saw the ditch and chain link fence. TOO LATE. From what the onlookers said, I went into the ditch and tumbled down the chain link fence for like 75 feet. OUCH. I ended up with 2 broken wrists, a broken left colar bone, a broken right ankle, 21 stitches in left elbow and 15 in my right elbow.
I was pissed. From that point I have always made sure the kick stand idiot light was standard on every bike I've owned there after.
The most recent bike I just got in april, I had it parked behind my wifes car in the driveway, she backed up without looking and did 1400 worth of damage to a bike I had for only 2 days and hadn't even gotten the chance to ride it. I was inside getting my gear on.
ugh.

went to this cafe place where lots of riders hangout.. after getting a soda, i noticed a few hot babes near my bike so i decided to show off and put my helmet on and start it up.. then after i started the bike tried to take off real fast out of my parking spot, all i could hear was my bike rumble then shake in first gear then stall as i fell over.. forgot to remove the lock on the rear tire.. then as i lifted the bike back-up it fell over on the other-side.. a nightmare.. all i could hear was people laughing.. never been back since..

Its Funny that this gets mentioned, because aside from doing almost everything listed on this thread(my friend thinks im especialy retarded for the horn thing!)
the first time i ever went to a bike dealer it was with the same friend and we were pretty young. He had been riding for about a year and i just really wanted a bike so we would go check out the new ones. Well i get on this little 250 cruiser thing and im diggin it. Go to set the bike down so i can look at another bike, and all the way down into the bike next to it. Didnt do any real damage but the sales men had to help cuz i was pinned, and he was pissed. So suffice it to say, i leave the stands down when im at dealers now.

My very first bike I had the kickstand down, and couldn't figure out what the heck was wrong with my bike. I ended up calling one of my buddies, and was like,"I think my bike is broke. I was just riding it, came home, now it won't start." He laughed and told my dumb arse to put the kickstand up, and it will start fine. Doh!
Even after several years of riding, I keep doing something stupid as of recently. I can't freggin' remember to put it in 1st when I stop. I don't know how I got in this bad habbit, but you look like a tard when you go to take off in 2nd or 3rd when you go to start it and leave it in gear to start it. Take off two feet and kill it.

my rookie mistake....I've been having problems with my bike sputtering and dying, and the flywheel in the stator was corroded, so I swapped it out. Got the new one in, and went for a ride with my good friend and the hubby (keep in mind...it's bike week, and there are people on bikes EVERYWHERE). So I am going down the road, and the bike starts to sputter. I pull over, pissed as all hell. The guys both look at the bike, push start it, get going, and I hop on the hubby's bike and we pull a swap to get it to the gas station to look at it....where we realize it's out of gas.

Apparently when I'd been testing it sitting in the driveway, I had used up more gas than the guys....so I ran out on our ride. D'oh!
Moral of the story: Doesn't matter how much gas your friends have. Check the tank before you ride...or you'll be the a$$ on the side of the road. lol.

Thanks....did you see the photos in the gallery? Or on the thread? Cause it's not the same as in the gallery anymore...it's custom painted and some other things. I just can't figure out how to update my photo album, lol.

I have a blackbird that has turn signal indicators on the dash and I still leave 'em on. Try to start the bike and it won't no matter what you do. take the seat off check the battery push start only nothing. Then you actually notice the engine kill switch is on.

The day I bought my bike I was riding it home, having never ridden before, and as I am trying to turn the blinker off I hit the horn and there is a cop sitting off to the right. Well I got his attention and he noticed my tag was out of date. You know the rset but he was cool about everything.

Not really a newbie anymore... but still making newbie mistakes!
Couple weeks ago while approaching a traffic light in a 55 mph zone some guy turned left in front of me while the light was yellow. Had to stop rather abruptly as you can imagine, heart was pounding out of my chest from the close encounter. Well when the light turned green my bike wouldn't budge... you got it, still in third gear! But instead of downshifting all the way to first I just revved the engine to about 10,000 rpms and got it going from third! Talk about loud, slow and embarrassing

My first time on the road with my friends (after lots of hours in a lot) one of them hit my killswitch at a light while i wasnt looking. I started flipping out not knowing what went wrong and they just laughed at me for a good minute until they let me in on it.

All this within the first 2 weeks of having my bike.... I suck I should just sell it.
Oh lets see where do I begin? First day I got my 06 f4i I'm pulling out of the garage at the dealership and turned too wide almost hit a big snow mobile trailor. Luckily I put my feet down and just made it. Then driving it home I got nervous at an intersection and killed it 4 times while a HUGE line of cars waited behind me. On the way home there was a lot of road construction so my parents took a different way for me to follow them was approaching a left turn and some idiot in a big SUV was stopped way infront of the stop sign where I was trying to turn. Well backroads are quite narrow here and full of gravel and all and my noobness couldn't make the turn all the way went off the right side of the road and into the about 6-8" of gravel before a 3 foot ditch. Needless to say my heart was racing and I was sweating and the inside of my darn helmet was all fogged up after that one.
Coming into our subdivision I have to turn and a couple times now I've hit the horn by mistake the first time there was like a party or something going on outside this house just tons of people there so I waved at them. Ever since then whenever someones outside that house they wave to me when I pull into the subdivision. lol
I was at my first fill up and when I was done I started up my bike on this hot day with tons of cars at the gas station put in the clutch and kick it into first gear and it dies. I do it about 6 times then wait for about 2 minutes thinking maybe it will magically work. Now I'm starting to get mad and almost yelling at my bike infront of all these people waiting for a pump to open up. Try it again 3 times and still nothing. Take off my helmet call my dad and say "dad my bike is broke or something it keeps dying I need you to come pick me up I'm already late for work." So I get off the phone and I'm going to push my bike into a parking space and I go to start pushing and the kickstand starts dragging. Wow did I ever feel like an idiot infront of probably 20+ people. hahahahaha Called my dad back and just said "oh never mind its working now" and hung up. I try to avoid that gas station at all costs now.
I pulled up to a coworkers house because a bunch of us were all going out to dinner and her husband rides a kawasaki cruiser she told him I got a bike and he wanted to check it out. Their driveway is all gravel and a HUGE hill and circular so I pull up on the left side and there are cars parked so I get stuck with my bike going uphill on a nice gravel driveway. When we decide to leave I let everyone go first and kill my bike three times before I get it up the hill while her husbands standing there watching us leave. hahaha Then on the way down the hill one of the cars was stopped I lightly applied the front break (IDIOT) and felt the front tire start to slide out from under me. Luckily the car started moving and I let go and kept her up!
My personal favorite is still the dude who wheelied into his own caddy rofl!!!
