Hi everyone! I am a proud new owner of a used 02 F4i! It came with some mods done already, but I can't remember everything the PO told me. I just bought it today with all of my savings and then some, but I can't stop thinking about it, and can't wipe the smile off of my face haha. My digicam wasn't handy at the time, but I did manage to snap a crappy pic with my cell phone. That's my buddy helping me get it home safely as I still haven't taken the MSF. I saw a great deal though, so I jumped on it.

ya. My first cage was yellow, and ever since then I knew deep down I wanted something cooler that was also yellow. Enter F4i :)

Thanks!
I need to raise the money for MSF in the next two days to make the last open session in my immediate area though. I can do it, but it'll be ugly. What sort of final exams are there for the riding portion? I just want to know the level of stuff they are going to expect of us.
Again, thanks everyone for the warm welcomes.

Mine consisted of:
First day in the class room discussing everything about riding.
2-3 days of riding on the bikes and learning to ride.
Last day riding exam. (Easy, I got a perfect score) then you go take your written test (multiple choice) I only missed one.

just don't begin to think that passing the MSF course means you're ready for full contact traffic
I rode around my neighborhood (very twisty area) for 2 weeks before I ever went all the way to town
I'm glad you trust your friend that much lol
The only other people to ride my bike have been my dad for all of a 1/2 mile and my brother

oh noez! I live in a densely populated area too (anyone here familiar with SBF? Bay Area,CA)
I trust him because he's a very calm person. I've seen him do stupid things, but I've been his passenger in his old sup'ed up car and he wouldn't drive aggresively at all. Truth be told, i didn't want to chance riding it myself and he is one of the only people i know that ride that were available that day to come with me. After saying that, he did almost wreck a few blocks after we started coming home, but it wasn't his fault. Stupid SUV drivers always on their phones and futzing with their navigations...

same here.. my dad rides a bike 5X the value of mine, so i trusted him with it to go get my tire changed for me. Other than that, i taught a frat brother to ride, the rest of my miles are mine alone.

Congrats on the new ride. Bein a rider will make u a better driver and then really realize how sucky most drivers are. Don't ride beyond ur means just startin out. i did and laid down my first bike the day i made the 1st payment. with the msf u should get an insurance discount too.
