For those that didn't know, today is the first day of the check clearing act for the 21st century. So now when you write a check it will clear right away as opposed to the normal 3 days it used to take. I know alot of people float checks from time to time, but be warned, you can't do that anymore. So much for the old saying "if you still have checks, then you still have money"

I work closely with banks on a large scale and I think its a great system. There are many benefits involved with the instant check cashing. It eliminates a lot of headaches but will probably will cause a few as well.

What's a check?
Exactly...I hardly carry cash anymore. My friends and family ask me all of the time why I don't carry cash. The only place that doesn't take a check card yet is taco bell. They need to get on the ball.
