OKIEZAC & Redzintimdator Hall of Fame Road Trip DIAL UP WARNING!

Well let me start off by saying Justin is a great guy, and thus far the forum has not disappointed me.  So with that being said, we met up this afternoon @12:30 and headed off to Cooperstown.  The ride there was not bad, made one stop 18miles from the Hall to get the feeling back in our fingers *46f outside eventually got into the low 50's but windy as hell*  So we arrived at the Hall about 2ish.. Saw the Hall <----awesome if you like baseball and have not been! 

Grabbed a slice of pretty damn good pizza at some lil italy style pizza joint that sold by the slice.  Headed home from there.  Weather turned for the south, clouds moved in, winds picked up to close to 30mph with gusts.  Stopped for some gas, while we were there this old couple about 70ish.. looked at us.. smiled and said, Spring IS here isnt it! I replied sure is! They smiled and left.  Got on the way back home from there, went through Greene on the way home and Justin turned off.. i had about an hr home and it was getting cold.. followed SR79 through the mountains paced about 80.. nice sweeping curves, no traffic whatsoever.. saw one cop and he waived to me.  Sooooooo good day, good meet, good trip.. just thought i would share..

BTW.. we did see one gsxr750 going the opposite way on a small side road, he appeared to be fully geared and didnt look like much of a donkey.. i must say his bike looked really nice from head on.. just hate that whale tail.

nope.. i looked for barrys ball.... nothing there yet.. or it wasnt up while we were there.. they had some of the world series rings and you MUST look online for a pic of the fl marlins ring.. its something don magic juan would wear.. its HUGE!!! and covered in ice.. lol..

yep..low 50s here to..gonna head out again tomorrow, ill try and get some pics along the way..already called in sick to work and cancelled physical therapy 

the friend i will be riding with has an identical bike to redz lol...same fairings and signals atleast.

wow..they even have the same pipe..weird   only difference is my friends tanks is blue cause he hasnt painted it black yet..thats so weird.

maybe i should pick up a white rr to test drive tomorrow!

Very cool pix man-looks like a good time.  I know about the cold fingers.  This past Saturday afternoon we had the bikes out and even with gloves on my fingers got so cold that they hurt for a half house after the ride.  it was in the high 30's that day.

LOL.. i have no hair dryer.. .. i will wait untill the weather warms up to do it....

Those are some cool pics!  Today in Wisconsin it is going to be 50 so I rode the bike to work for the first time this year it was 35 this morning a little cold but it looks like it warming up fast.
 
Anyways, how do those 2 bikes compare to each other when you guys are cruising? Does the 07 just run circles around the F3 or are roll ons pretty close? (not that you guys would misuse the throttle). 

as far as how the 2 bikes compared.. i dont know because i didnt ride the F2 or know how much throttle he was giving it.. but.
 
when we got on the onramp for hwy88 i did just twist the throttle in 2nd gear and left him behind for a min..
 
i can say that compared to my 03600rr it is unreal the difference in power.. even more unreal is the weight, and flickability of the 07.  This thing is scary fast from lean to lean. almost uncomfortably so.. lol..    
 
and compared to my old carbed F4 there is no comparison at all.. and i remember being left in the dust on my F4 by people on 03 04 600rr's

Cooperstown is nice. I stayed at the Otesaga when I was there for a family reunion. Glad the ride was good, sounds alittle chilly!

Okie - that white 07 rr is sick, my fav at the moment.  But why a yellow helmet?  Makes no sense.   

^^LOL^^ why the yellow helmet.. because it was $600 bucks and im not going to replace it because it doesnt match my bike.. lol..the blue on it matched my 04..     Not to mention i feel like i am more visible with it.. just subconcious im sure.. but everything helps..   if you want to buy it for $400 i will be glad to replace it.. lol.

Okie, I am down to make this trip once I get my bike back together and it's warmer...I'm a huge baseball fan and I've never been to Cooperstown...

Justin.. agreed... just let me know when you get out of school and i am down.. now that i know where we both live we should be meeting on 79 somewhere.. i had a blast just toasting that road on the way home.. felt like they repaved it recently bc it was smooth as a baby's ass.  I got my sliders, cowl,Honda Carbonfiber detail kit, and donkey kong sweatbands for my brake fluid res's lol..   Went to install the sliders and didnt have a big enough socket for the bolt.. so it will get taken care of when i get back from Columbus Sunday. .
 
jfunk.. im down to go back anytime.. you should do it when you can spend a good weekend in Upstate NY..  and i will meet you up there on a friday, you can follow me back n we can rage in Ithaca/ride some of the area around here while you are in town..

Man sucks to be thier i am here in Jacksonville FL i ride year round but i know what you mean i ride to work at 6 in the morning and it is like 30 out some times. so yea thats could 45+ isnt to bad when the sun is shining and sorry not a fan of baseball
