opinions??
When I bought my F4i the fairings were pretty awful. I checked around to try to find some matching stock fairings but haven't had a lot of luck. I bought left and right repsol fairings for $70 shipped. I figured it can't look much worse than big chuncks of fairing missing like it is now. Do ya'll think it's gonna look ok or TERRIBLE with just the fairings?

Whats the color of the rest of your bike? I dont think it will look that bad unless you have yellow and black or something

Get a few stickers and a tank bra or something, it don't matter as long as the bitch starts and runs fine. It is all just plastic gook crap anyway, just ride it and enjoy.

I had a co-worker build up a F4 carb model. rebuilt the motor, installed the F4i cams, and had all the body painted to look like a repsol model. It turned out awesome. It was fast too, faster than any 600 i've seen. It was quite impressive, but i love that look on that bike. I don't have any pics really of it, if i find some i'll sure to post them for you to see. But if you ebay you can find these complete fairing kits for most bikes and you can find repsols and other types which look good. But i don't know anyone that actually ordered them so i'm not sure how well they look when they are in your hand
my bike:
looks ok on this side but the other side is pretty blowed off
btw... not trying to post whore pics of my bike around but some one asked what it looked like so... i figrued i'd post whore pics of it LOL

first thing first...ride it...enjoy it...looks dont make the bike...i think i have more respect for ugly bikes...its the love of the ride...
i am about to rattle can my bike flat black soon...maybe...
i did my tail swap and the 06 got those goofy gray midfairings with yelloow stickers...the tail dont look bad but i think a flat black will look meaner...maybe i will wait till i get back from italy...
might even try to get a ducati...who knows...

I agree with most on here who say enjoy it first, then care about what it looks like.
That being said, personally it's a bit too... "out there" for me... If I were you I'd rattle can it at the very least, or go to
www.tapeworks.com if you have the $$ and do something sweet and custom.

Don't look too bad. You might also consider painting the fairings to match the rest of your bike.

You asked for opinions.. Yuk, sorry, at least the plastic was cheap.
P.S. Rattle Can my Ass. Get Automotive paint! If you don't own a paint gun, get an aerosol bottle sprayer from Home Depot. $56.00 total bill

Hey,
That don't look to bad but, have to agree, don't rattle can the fairings, get it done with a proper sprayer, you will thank yourself latter. As well, you should see my F3, blown fairings, I have 10 that are the same colours and 5 that are anywhere between a blue and yellow to black and red to purple and grey. That is a stange looking bike but, she rides like a dream

yeah, don't worry about looks too much, I start police academy on Monday and was almost done with my F4i project. Was about to send it out for paint but I ran out of cash, so I am just useing satin white and black primer sealer on it to at least make it the colors I wanted and not a bunch of shades of gray, silver, black, and primer. So I will be running around on a bike that does not even shine, lol.
