Hey guys just curious about where I should be looking to get a paint job. The only place I know local would be the body repair shop. Any one know any one that does a good job around south shore massachusetts. I think Im gonna go all black maybe matte black, still working out the details on I want to do. But I gotta get rid of the yellow its a cop magnet. haha

Also what kinda price should I be lookin at to get all the plastics painted on an 03 (tail, tank, upper and lower fairings, nose/windscreen fairing) I dont know the proper names for the plastics but u get the idea. Ive never had a bike painted before so I have no idea what to expect and would apreciate any help.

That yellow is a cop magnet if you're doing something wrong. It is doing you favors with the cagers. Yellow stands out just a bit better than black and may, at some point, help someone see you. I wouldn't change, but that's just me.

I've worked in a body shop, and you should make sure that where ever you go offers a lifetime warranty on their work. Paint gets funny sometimes (bubbles up later on, peel, etc) and it's good to know you can take it back.

Take it from someone with a yellow bike like you, I would much rather be a cop magnet, than roadkill of others. Before I bought my bike, I was dead set on buying a black one, very glad I didn't now. Even with have a bright color like yellow, you would be amazed at the amount of damn people that either don't see you or don't care. I also agree with six, yellow may be a cop magnet if you are doing something wrong, but let's be honest, aren't all bikes are cop magnets if the rider is doing something wrong, even if your not for that matter. Most of the time, we get a bad rap, that just how the cookie crumbles.

Yea I know the yellow is good for making cagers aware but Its too much yellow for me. Im not sure Im going all black im still working out ideas. Also my paint has a few imperfections from the first guy who owned the bike. Wasnt droped or anything just some scratches from not being careful around the bike so I have to do something.
