Here's what I was working on last 3 days.
I first downloaded the Honda Wing logo in EPS format from brandsOfTheWorld.com, opened it with Adobe Illustrator, printed x2 wings it on A4 papers, then cut out the wings using a blade (painfully slow! but wth!), and then cut out any extra paper around the wing and leave enough bleed to protect the paint from going over. Now spray the wings with paper glue (usually used for mounting artwork over boards) and carefully paste it over the the helmet (or any surface). Paste the other wing on the opposite side.
I used R157 Italian Red to match my bike.
Paint the wing with a brush or spray, i used a brush, leave it and paint the other wing, go back and paint another layer on the first, then another on the second.
Leave it about 30 mins. Then paint it with clear-coat (this will give it shine), but while painting the clear coat make sure you apply the least pressure over the paint because clear-coat has thinner which will smudge the paint if applied pressure. I did it using paper tissues/towels, wet it with clear-coat and slide it over the paint, letting the wet stick to the surface while sliding. Wait another 30mins and then remove the paper.
Now with some cotton buds, thinner and tissues clean any extra undesired paint which may have spread unevenly under the paper while painting.
