Can anyone help me? looking to make the bike i have a tad bit faster any ideas other than whole new exhaust headers and all, power commander ?

what do you guys think of wheelie kits?

This kit (known as a Stage I) lowers your final drive ratio about 10% through the sprocket sizes. So, that means you will increase your rpm's by about 10%, reach your shift points much faster, accelerate much harder, and reach your top speed much quicker. Because the Stage I doesn't increase your rpm's so much that you will reach the revlimiter in top gear, your top speed won't be effected. And, in fact, on some bikes that are geared on the high side from the factory, OR when the rider weights 190+, the kit can actually increase your terminal velocity by allowing your engine to rev higher in top gear, creating more hp, and help overcome the natural rolling and wind resistances.

is this true?

A "quick acceleration" sprocket/chain conversion will be the best bang for the buck, but you do loose a bit of your top end speed (not to mention highway riding will be at a higher RPM).

+1 on sprockets. Top speed is a non-issue for most people so aside from maybe losing a few MPG, there is no downside.

any sprocket recomendations?  for better acceleration and less loss of top end

btw what is +1 lol

    the +1 is sprocket teeth
-1 is minus 1 tooth
+1 is plus 1 tooth

so a -1/+1
is minus 1 on the front sprocket and plus 1 on the rear sprocket.

that is a popular mod
quicker take off without sacrificing too much top end

for even better handling go with a 520 conversion with hardened AL sprockets as well.
you can save a few pounds of rotating mass that way.

brands like AFAM, sprocket specialist, renthal, and Driven are the best out there.
stay away from non hardened AL. they wear out real fast.

for chains DID ERV3 is top notch and stronger than oem

Your best gains you will get from a racing school, trackday.

The bike already has way more performance right out of the box than you will ever be able to coax out of it, So your best bet is to improve the rider, before trying to improve the machine.

ok thanks I was actually looking into going to track school so I can learn to lean better.. the only time I speed really fast like over 100 is on a long stretch of road I don't take corners faster than 60.. lol

^^ more the reason to take a good superbike school.

I took the level i course through California Superbike School at Laguna Seca. It was absolutely the most incredible thing I've ever done, really. Well worth the $650 (to ride their bikes) or a cool $450 to ride your own. Doing it again in April..........it's that addicting.

its not about power, its about where the available power is at. we all know that a gearing change does nothing to horsepower but moves the available hp around.  this is a great mod for the track especially for novices because a tendency is to try and take a corner in too high a gear. if it is geared down then the results are muted. the change in gearing will help compensate for too high a gear.

does it make a diffrence if i keep the 525 chain and upgrade the front and rear sprockets? i got a -1 525 front sprocket.. next ima do the rear which will be +1 525 sprocket.. which still lets me keep the 525 chain..

or should i just convert the who thing to 520? money isn't the issue the performance is.. been saving up some cash lol..

if money isnt the issue and you plan on taking the bike to the track do the 520 thing
but get hardened AL sprockets to maximize weight loss.

the best weight you can take off a bike is rotating mass because the centrifigual force of everything rotating makes the bike behave like it is heavier. the more you take off the more repsonsive in handling.  its that whole objects in motion principle.

520 kits are cheaper than the 525.....

If anyone from here would ever get back to me on being able to advertise I would offer up some good deals on these.
