Yes, notice they say ELECTRONICALLY LIMITED to 130mph. When you order different stages on the Police Interceptor packages, with different parts and setups, where you pay more money, that limit gets raised to coorespond to what else has been done. So, when regular CrownVic's do 130, its very fesible(and I know for a fact) They will do 140+. Thanks though
Notice in the article with a single rear gear setup, it changes it 10 mph, from 120 to 130. When you get the top set up, the 07's will be doing around 150ish, just like I stated before. And like I said, our department had top of the line upgrades where ours did that, so yes, they will do the speed.

Yes, some of them are, and I am pretty much going to stop debating with all of you on speed. Until you work for a department that has a high tendency for fleeing and drug running, none of you will realize what these are capable of. You can read your self a simple gear change makes up for 10mph. No imagine an extra stage package or too, yea go from there. But some of you know it because its on the net. How about you run from a cop next time and see how fast they get up to and maybe you'll then realize, oh shi*&, he may have been right. But you want proof, email a police department who invests in the Police Interceptors with the 3rd equipment package, but I guess osme of you dont have to because its on the net. To each his own.

I know it was posted a while ago but the BS about police cars getting more performance ex. hotter cams, the "cop chip", or whatever else is entirley not true. The differences that they make for the cars are for reliablility not performance. Things like extra coolers and such. The removed speed limiter is real in some cases and the vic i am sure is capable of over 140mph assuming its not electronically limited and you have one hell of a stretch of road. I drive an old police car a caprice 9C1 and i tell you what it is capable of high speeds and accelleration to smoke all of the rice around town, and that is about it. Even though its slightly modded its not impressive fast at all. Untill the charger it was the fastest major production police car on the road, still smokes the vic and it hasn't been made since 96. Wow I am bouncing all over the place my point is police cars are slow and people are misinformed about them. Every other person selling one (caprice 9C1 or Crown Victoria P71)writes that it has a "cop chip", also I have even seen more than one episode of cops where the officer mentioned it. Stop spreading lies, my high 14 sec granny cruiser is a torque monster good for nothin but lots of miles.
