Me and a buddy went out for a few hours today, first real long ride this season, and I have to tell you I was impressed with the old girl. For something that is 20 years old she still had tremendous pep. Granted she wasnt keeping up next to the ZX-14, but she was holding her own. Responses seemed to be as great as the day I bought her 9 years ago. Hell I think she even lifted the front tire in second gear today without dumping the clutch at all. I still would like a new bike this year, but I dont think I will ever be able to part with her.

i know what you mean. once i get mine finished, im never gonna be able to let her go. i will always keep her, even if its just to ride every once in a while. i plan on buying a 600rr in the next year or two.

Same to both of you guys. When I get a new rr I think my wife will get the cane, and then maybe my son in about 15 years and 9 months

I'm constantly amazed at the performance of my 'Cane. If I shift from second to third at the redline, I always get a couple of inches under the front tire. Makes me grin like an idiot every time.

oh man .... with my new sprocket I lifted the front wheel for the first time with no clutch and I almost crapped myself..... most bikes shy of a 1K won't do that with a 270lb guy firmly planted on them..... but yes I do kinda look like an ape on a tricycle

I rode my assembly project yestersday and WOW. I am very impressed. The power is so instant on this bike. My regular ride si a 90 VFR750 and I can't get over the difference in power delivery. If I rode this hurc all the time I would always be in trouble just for the sheer joy of feeling that jump.
