re 06 blade noises

just brought an 06 blade from d&k .and yes its a great bike ,but there is a pinking /rattle up to 5000 rpm.now ive spoken to a lot of honda dealers some say its because its an import ,some say they all do it.
its driving me mad . ,ive spoken to some engine tuners who build engines for bsb,who say e the 1000rr motor is bomb proof.and the noise may be down to the exhaust valve rattling on light throttle,or the flaps in the air box.does anyone really know what this noise is.please dont suggest ear plugs.

Yeah, mine does the same exact thing.  It was freaking me out, I kept bending down to try and hear where it was coming from.  I think it has to do with the intake because it didn't start making the noise until after I did the flapper mod.

my bike is totaly standard.so do you mean ,yor bike started making the noise after you removed the airbox flaps?? .or did it make that noise before you modded it

In addition to the usual valve and cam chain noises that sportbikes make, my '07 (and many others) make a spark knock type sound that's been really hard to pinpoint. There are a million theories about what's causing this, but I've yet to find a reliable answer.

    the 1000rr is notoriously noisy. 

My 04 has the same noise, pair valve mod, air intake gutted, pcIII 164.88 map, micron exhaust, Could this possibly be air turbulance we are hearing? Its annoying. I haven't ridden this bike with a stock air intake (without the mod) Does it make the same noise completely stock? NO MODS???
