I am currently rebuilding a cbr 600rr (03-04) from scratch. At the moment, I have a clean frame, subframe w/shock + rear wheel w/ rotor, Gas tank, clip ons + electronics, Full brake assembly, Radiator, (I dont have an engine yet, but I have someone who can sell me a clean one if needed.)
Should I keep buying the parts piece by piece?
Maybe I should I Buy a trashed/ Wrecked/ Salvaged/ blown engine bike, and just move all of my parts on there?
(If so, does anyone know where I can get a good deal on a parts bike without the parts I already have?)
Or should I overall just sell what I have, and purhcase a whole bike? *** I am trying to keep my project under $4900
Any useful advice would be greatly appreciated. Anyone knowing of places where I could buy parts at a great price, let me know. Most of the local salvage yards around my area are selling items for rediculous prices.
