wandering if red light on my speedo screen has a certain flashing sequence to tell me what is wrong, on a cbr929?

The MIL (malfunction indicator lamp) is the only light with a code system that I know of. Do you have a flash sequence? Count it and we can see what it says. The 600RR codes go up to 49 flashes... so be ready to count.
Just kidding… when the light stays lighted for 1.3 seconds it’s equivalent to ten blinks. So if you see 4 long blinks (1.3 seconds) and 9 short flashes it’s 49. #4 secondary injector circuit malfunction. I have the 929 shop manual... let me know and I'll look up the code for you.

I'm sorry Josh66... where did I go wrong? And before any jumps on the "lighted" that's grammatically correct. I lost that argument a few years back.

No dude. NOt saying you are confusing, saying the way you have to figure it out is confusing. It would be nice if there was a light that would just say what is wrong. Like "Engine Problem" or something that is simple and doesn't involve trying to count a bunch of blinking lights. But again your directions were great, just think Honda could come up with something better.

Ya, "engine problem" would be sooooo much clearer

Just kiddin with ya man! That system actually worked well -- pretty much pinpoints where your problem is. With the advent of digital odometers (I guess so ya can't see the mileage when it isn't on) the code usually flashes there on newer bikes.

Think about it this way.... from a positive view point. It's nice they made it so we can read it without an expensive machine/computer. And 49 lights on the speedo would get a little hard to read.

That is true. They need to put the info center on bikes like they do on some vehicles. But in a positive light, a lot of bikes don't even have all digital guages so that is a plus :)
