Hey, I'm getting ready to repack my Hindle pipe this weekend, and I've read a few places that you can wrap steel wool around the pipe first? I would really like to quiee the bike up, but will the steel wool make it louder?
Thanks in advance for any help!

No just pack it tighter with fiberglass. I have done several exhaust canisters and have never used steel wool.

rrasco,
Some aftermarket exhaust cans have fiberglass packing to dampen the exhaust sound. After a while, the packing can work its way out and the can will get progressively louder. On some of those cans, you can re-pack with fresh fiberglass to make it quiet again. Whether you can re-pack your depends on the exhaust can you have installed.
