WOODY's Right !!!!!!!!!! It's a wonderful way to practice the real stuff, that makes us better riders. Tires actualy get a amazing amount of grip... if you dont hydro, hit oil, ect. That chassis/ tires desighn, is actual going to act proper, as long as you don't overcome availible grip. Nice and fluid... ( the way to real speed, in the dry too) Some people that arn't all that "faaast", are really good wet riders.
The rain, knocks off the dust... pollens down, colors "pop", and it seems to seperate the real enthusist, from the fair weather folks.
Good( proper) gear, really makes the dif. too. Wet, cold and miserable, is no way to have fun. Besure and add follow/brake'n distances, for conditions also. Go out and have some FUN !!!!!!!!! Clean and free, Ripp'n

i was scared the first time i hit rain, to tell the truth ive hit slipperier surfaces when its dry.
dont get too soaked either, that was nice.
i love the rain, clean roads for the f4i, wet dirt for the 50. its all good

I had a great ride today in the rain... commuting!
~45 F / 8 C - heavy rain, wet leaves, and the wrong tires.
You know what? I had fun - I kept it safe... and I arrived warm (right gear) and happy. Sure beats being stuck in traffic in a cage... and I don't care that I don't have AC/heat/Wipers.
Some riders come to love it... others don't. It's not even a split between posers and riders... as I know alot of riders who still don't like the rain.
If you love it you can ride more days :D

riding in the rain is very hairy but yes...will test your skillz! i don't do it cause
1. wifey says life insurance policy not big enough for me to ride in the rain...
2. my starbucks coffee i hold in my left hand gets soaked.
3. I CAN'T SEE SHITE!

yesterday... rained in a day as much as it rains in a month (flood warnings on major rivers etc)
50 mi from home at 12:00am. Just been told by an expert that my tires were over-inflated (as per manual!) hardened, 5 yrs old and almost worn out.
Riding with a hurting knee on the freeway. Full gear though.
Tires did an amazing job (michelin pilot sport)!! I went through puddles of water at 50mph and only felt the water slap on my boots.
Scary though, I rode with full beam and at all times in the car pool lane, 5 mph below limit. to hell with cagers who want to go 15-over in driving rain.
I wouldnt repeat that - ever!, just not logical.

I've read about some pro riders prefering the rain...it was all about their mental attitide...and visualising the ride before hand. Make sure to have the right gear!!! Wet and cold sucks no matter who you are!
