just returned from a 2 week vacation in melbourne australia (drove past moto gp phillip island!) excited to ride my rr and carelessly scratched my left mirror going through a narrow passage between my parent's car and house. i know its minor but other than replacing it, are there any suggestions for smoothing out and painting the black plastic?

Not the plastic, not really, especially if it deep. You can leave it (its very minor) or can spend $25 and get a new one.

That's not a scratch - that's a battle scar!
I'm with you though - keep it looking good for as long as you can.

raptor- thanks for the tip on the aftermarket mirror. i was going to ask if the a/m item is as good as stock.
melbourne was like a chicago spring, lol. it was showery most of the past two weeks ( as you know) but got in a couple good sunny dry days. i like going down elizabeth street and drooling over all the models we don't get in the states.
