-hey WOT those tube come out just under the side stand.
-the side panels are there to make the front neater, as well as adding another mount point for the front clip, otherwise you are relying on the mirror mounts, and the two pins in the head light to stop the front commin off!!!!
-and the paint was a rattle can that i got as close as i could to the original colour, there are 6 coats of paint, and 4 of clear all done with spray can, there is no reason why you can get a great finish, its al about the prep.
