ok so i bought a two brothers M2 VALE slip on system from morepowerracing, went to mount it on sunday and nothing seems to line up right.....

1.....the O2 sensor will not reach the location where the O2 hole is on the new pipe...no way, tried everything
2.....the end of the midpipe where it slips onto the factory pipe is flared out MUCH too big. is big enough so even the clamp provided wont wit around it.
3. when i manage to slip on end on the factory exhaust and bolt the can to the footpeg, the midpipe is right against the swingarm.

could someone take pics of there Two brothers mipipe, especially were the midpipe and factory pipe meet? and the location of the 02 hole? so i can see what the heck is up? im so mad right now, and i have no idea whats going on. all the stickers, notes, and  directions say 2001-2007 Honda CBR600 F4i on them, but this cant be right.

When I monted mine the swingarm clearance seemed really tight as well, but it does clear (by about 1/8").  The flage at the connection to the headers is going to leak, you need high temp gasket material for that.  The o2 sensor on mine ended up turned way out to compensate for the swingarm clearance.  Although I use an eliminator I could definitely see where it might not reach.

There should be a part number on the midpipe.  Call up two brothers, or the guy you bought it from and do a cross reference to make sure.

1....where did you buy the eliminator?.......does it effect fual mileage? what did you use for a clamp on the midpipe? and what sort of gasket? i still think this might be wrong, OR 2Tbros fit and finish is just not what i expected. yeah the )2 sensor is turn way down toward the center of the bike in order to get the midpipe to clear the swingarm isnt it?

I got my eliminator from Dynojet, but several companies make them (you can make one yourself with a resistor.  I believe there is instructions on this site).  You will notice some fuel economy loss as a result.  It's hard to say how much because I added my power commander at the same time.  between the two I lost a good 50kms (35miles) out of a tank.

I don't know if you did this but find where the O2 sensor plugs into the system (it should be under the rear of the gas tank on the left hand side).  You should find that if you loosen the wire tie a little there is more wire for the O2 sensor and it will reach.

As far as gasket material any autoparts store will have what you need.  The company I bought the pipe from sent me permatex super black.  Seems to work fine.   The stuff is a pain in the  butt  to work with and you will have to scrape it off and re-apply if you so much as loosen the midpipe from the collector.

Before you do this check to see if the pipe is right.  They aren't going to take the midpipe back if its covered in gasket material.  You said the flange would not mount to the collector.  It should mount to the point you aren't going to pull it off by hand (though you will have to tighten the clamp to just about its capacity.  Make sure you mount the clamp so that you can get to the screw without removing plasics as you will probably need to mount it a few times before it's right.

Good luck man.  Aftermarket stuff as a rule never fits quite right.  There is always some headache to using it.  Two bros is cheaper than the HRC Akropovic exhaust by about $1500 though, not to mention much easier to get.  If you aren't sure take it to a shop, at least if they screw up the work they're liable for it.

what im saying is even if the nut on the clamp is loosened as far as possible, the clamp still wont slide over the slip on flange. im gonna snap a couple pics and show you guys anyone else able to chime in on this? i really think this is the wrong pipe, but thats gotta be very unlikely.

put the clamp on from the other side  (the can end) of the midpipe and slide it down.

Agian, if you think it is the wrong pipe CROSS REFERENCE THE PART NUMBER with the place you got it.  I'm trying to help here but nobody is going to be able to tell you a positive YES or NO on whether or not it's the right part.  The only person with that info is you and the person you got it from.  Make a phone call, or send an email and find out for sure before you potentially scar up the wrong part trying to mount it and burn for the cost.  If you have never mounted an exhaust before I would strongly suggest getting some help from someone who has, they can be tricky.  Not everybody (contrary to popular belief) is a motorcycle mechanic.

i just checked the pipe, and there are no part numbers anywhere on it. accept a 722 on the flange that bolts to the can. yes i will check with the place i bought it, but they arent open until noon Eastern time. i took a couple pics, but i dont know how to post them up.

I just put my 2 brothers CF pipe on today, maybe took 45 mins? For the mid pipe you gotta cut, tear that exhaust gasket off the factory header and i used a piar of pliers to bend out the ends just a little bit and it slid right on. For the O2 sensor i just pulled down some slack on the wire (very carefully!) and had the pipe twisted untill i got it back in. After that everything was smooth sailing and i love the sound! If you need pics i can try to do that. Or maybe you got it on by now lol
