seriously need help in choosing bike

Hey guys i'm considering getting a bike (actually i've already decided). I love the CBR and this would be my first bike. I'm 5'4'', do you think i might be toooooooo short for this bike. If so please recommend something for me. I know i want to atleast get a 600cc bike, so don't go any lower than that please. Thank you for all your help guys.

my buddy is a bit taler than u, like by 2 in and he was on my 600f4i ok, lucky for u the honda's are pretty low stock so u should be ok.

For which bike? The RR (yes, a little short) the F4i (no). I'm 5'2" and ride the F4i, I've ridden the RR, but the positioning doesn't fit me well.

welcome! you're not too short. there are lots of riders your height. have you sat on an f4i yet? if not, find one and sit on it - preferably at a dealership. not too many people would like to come out to some stranger sittin' on their bike

I weight around 150 (but am loosing weight as we speak), probably to 135. So is that to light. aslo thank you guys so much for your help. What do you guys think about a plain CBR 600, not the RR. Let me know.

So you want the F4i?

Well the plain CBR 600 is a pretty old bike, almost 20 years old....... might be hard to come by...........

Could I respectfully recommend a cheap used bike as "a first bike" over a CBR? As an example, there are used Kawasaki 250's out there for $1500 that'll:

- Give you a good mount for gaining experience on the road.
- Top 100mph for a little hot dogging, and easily push you down the highway.
- Get 70+ mpg.
- Weigh only about 300 lbs (good for first time riders straight out of the MSF BRC).
- And a year from now (and six to ten thousand miles later) you can resell it for $1300. That's $200 for a years worth of fun.

After that, you would have road experience, traffic experience, and bike balance under your belt and be ready for an F4i, or a 600RR, etc.

P.S. I don't know anything about the old CBR600. If it's less than 80hp, you might have a winner there too. Can't say for sure. My first bike was a 50hp BMW F650CS. I still own it and use it for commuting.

definately take a seat on a f4/f4i and see how it feels i think you'll find it'll be good....as for your weight as long as u have a head on ur shoulders it doesn't matter just never think u have total control of the bike because anything can happen;always be cautious

the dude who had my f4i before me was about 140 and maybe 5 5 and he rode the bike perfectly fine in the end i think it just wasn't his thing.
