I recently installed a 2bros slip on probably 2months ago in january during the cold season. When i did this i cut a part of the heat shield so it didn't look tacky. I'm curious with the warmer months comming around and wit a passenger how much heat that would throw off and would it be too unbearable for me or a passanger..thanks guys

I have the same slip on on my 03.  I was also concerned with the heat.  Haven't noticed any higher than normal temps.  I live in Maine and the hottest day I rod in so far was 88'F.  I often ride with the wife on the back and she too didn't notice any increase in temp (she does like her ass warm though hehehe).  I don't know how much of a difference completely enclosing the exaust would make.  I went the cheap route and got the larger two bros and can't enclose the exhaust cause its too big.

I've got the CF 2Bros exhaust for a year, and I have removed completely the heat shield and never faced any problem, even in hot days you can touch bare hand the CF exhaust.

You will not have any problems with heat coming off of the exhaust. No worries
