yep a couple of minutes ago i got back from taking a ride in my bike for the first time, , i think i did pretty good, i went around the streets, hills (up and down) i felt so good that i even got on the freeway for only a bit, honestly you go slower than you think, i would keep my eyes on the road but when i look at the speedometer, it was hella low, in my mind i would feel like 40+ but in reality i was doing around 25, one thing that i have to improve is in remeber what gear im in, and not to press the horn when i wanna turn my blinkers on lol

LOL I had that problem with the horn for a while, but only when I was trying to turn the blinkers off. Its a noob thing and you'll get used to it. Be safe

I have a different feeling on the speed thing. I think most do and you will soon. At 90+ it fells like I'm doing 60 and at 60 it feels like I can get off and run beside the bike. Do you think I should try it???

Sweet, It sucks when you hit the horn and everyone looks cuz the horn sounds like mopad. I need to upgrade it to the dukes of hazard. lol

Y doesn't your girl like it? Congrats by the way! Oh, and I agree with Don and Musichyp, DEFINATELY funny, but only if a newb does it. So....that being said, I'd like to recomend a "newb requirement"!!! MUST WEAR HELMET CAMS AND HAVE FRIENDS WITH CAMS AT ALL TIMES for the first 3 months!!!! I figure that's enough time to catch some REALLY good newb tricks. Lol, as a matter of fact, I'm going to start a new thread on your favorite newb mistake!!!!

True. I took my ex around the block once, only got up to 50. it felt so lame i was embarrased... but she thought we were flying! all a matter of what you're used to i reckon.

Congrats on taking the bike out. Remember keep it slow and safe.

I actually took the horn off my car and put it on my bike. Yeah, it's kinda loud, but I like to be seen and heard...

thanks to everyone for all the advices, i asked her, and this is what she said, word by word: cuz is dangerous and you could die, and if you die you are going to heaven or mostly like hell and look down or up at me with another guy....

so yeah thats what she said... :( at least i get to ride it while she is not around...

Ya, that sucks man! My girl LOVES our bike. As a matter of fact, lol, she is the only reason I got it. I didn't have the credit. She went and bought it FOR me. Now she's learnin how to ride it. I got another bike, so, it's cool. But seriously, sounds like your girl needs to losen up! My ex was like that, but only because her best friends brother died on one. but he was being a JACKASS. Big difference!!!!

If I can give you one thing to help you improve your riding it would be to watch out for other people in cars. They are the #1 cause of motorcycle accidents on the road.
Stay safe and have fun
Congrats

How difficult is it to replace the horn? You said you put your car horn in? That sounds like a good idea. Btw, where is the horn set up, ive been in my front end a few times and cant remeber seeing a horn. (Then again I wouldnt know what to look for).
